摘要： The invention relates to an inhaler device (10) for receiving an inhaler canister for delivery of an active substance. The device has a canister housing (18) shaped to receive and mount an inhaler canister (12). A coupling part (20) is coupled to the canister housing through a pivotal coupling, enabling the coupling part to turn with respect to the canister housing about an axis which is fixed with respect to the coupling member and the canister housing. A hollow spacer (14) is received upon the coupling part and slidable with respect to it, so that the inhaler device is able to be placed in a use configuration in which the hollow spacer and the canister housing are non-parallel and form an elbowed shape, and is able to be reconfigured by first turning the hollow spacer and coupling member about the pivotal coupling with respect to the canister housing, to align the hollow spacer with the canister housing, and then sliding the hollow spacer over both the coupling member and the canister housing to form a compact configuration.

摘要： Respiratory therapy devices, oscillating positive expiratory pressure assemblies, respiratory therapy assembly kits, and methods of respiratory treatment or therapy are disclosed. An example respiratory therapy device can include an airflow mixing channel including a first inflow opening, a second inflow opening, and an outflow opening. The device can further include a nebulizer fluidly coupled to the first inflow opening. A one-way air intake valve fluidly can be coupled to the second inflow opening and/or a one-way medicament valve fluidly coupled to the outflow opening. The respiratory therapy device can also include an oscillating positive expiratory pressure assembly fluidly coupled to the one-way medicament valve, wherein the oscillating positive expiratory pressure assembly includes a mouthpiece opening and an oscillatory valve. In certain specific examples, the one-way air intake valve or the one-way medicament valve can be an inhalation oscillatory valve.

摘要： Nebulizer devices and methods are provided to facilitate a specific and controlled dosage of an atomized liquid therapy or medicine into the respiratory system of a user. The discrete nebulizer device comprises, in part, an airflow sensor connected to a controller such that inhaling through a mouthpiece ultimately activates the atomizer element to convert a liquid into an atomized liquid to maximize efficient delivery of the atomized liquid to the respiratory system of the user during inhalation. Multiple doses may be administered during sequential inhalations and exhalations without the need to remove the device from the air way opening of the user. In some embodiments, the nebulizer is programmable, hand-held, and/or disposable, for example.

摘要： The present invention provides an inhalation device for controlled delivery of medicament to the lungs of the user. The inhalation device comprises an elongated housing enclosing a mouthpiece/nasal-piece in fluid communication to a narrow cylindrical tube, the narrow cylindrical tube having diameter substantially similar to the lumen diameter of human bronchi. The other end of narrow cylindrical tube is fluidly connected to a reservoir containing the medicament suspended or dissolved in the propellant. The flow of propellant from reservoir to the narrow cylindrical tube is regulated by a one-way valve, which could be electrical/electronic or a mechanical valve. The invention is advantageous by providing positive airway pressure to keep the constricted air passages of the user open, which is combined, with laminar flow of medicament suspended/dissolved in the propellant, thus, resulting in efficient deposition of medicament to the target tissues of the lungs.
