摘要： Suture tensioning devices can improve the ease for a user and/or success of typing a suture knot. The suture tensioning device can be held by a user or attached to a separate device, such as a device being used for the knot forming. Embodiments of the suture tensioning devices described herein can generally include a rotatable portion and a tensioning portion. One or more sutures can be configured to be loaded on the rotatable portion. The tensioning portion can have a spring operably connected to the rotatable portion. The tensioning portion can be configured to provide a predetermined amount of tension on the one or more sutures when the rotatable portion is rotated in one or more directions.

Also disclosed is a suturing device comprising an elongated drive shaft, a handle assembly comprising a tubular handle body, at least one movable element connected to the drive shaft, and an activation mechanism comprising an rotatable activation knob for actuating movement of the at least one movable element. A suturing device combining the above-described jaw elements and activation mechanism is additionally provided. Further, kits comprising disclosed devices and surgical methods utilizing the same are also provided.

摘要： Devices, systems, and methods to improve both the reliability of soft tissue repair procedures and the speed at which the procedures are completed are provided. The devices and systems include one or more tissue augmentation constructs, which include constructs that are configured to increase a footprint across which suture applied force to tissue when the suture is tied down onto the tissue. The tissue augmentation constructs can be quickly and easily associated with the repair suture, and can be useful in many different tissue repair procedures that are disclosed in the application. In one exemplary embodiment, one or more constructs are disposed on a suture threader, which can be used to associate the construct(s) with a repair suture(s) being used to repair the soft tissue. Tissue augmentation constructs can include various blocks and patches, among other formations. Exemplary methods for manufacturing the tissue augmentation constructs are also provided.

摘要： A multiple-firing crimp device comprises crimps, a shaft, a crimp movement assembly, and a snare. Each crimp has an internal hollow. The shaft has a distal crimping location, an exterior surface, and an interior with the clips stacked therein, the crimps moving therein along a longitudinal axis. The shaft defines a lateral opening proximal to the crimping location and communicates the interior to the environment outside the exterior surface. The crimp movement assembly within the shaft delivers the first crimp to the distal crimping location by moving the first crimp longitudinally from a first proximal position into the distal crimping location and returning to a second proximal position without the first crimp. The snare pulls at least one cord from distal of the first crimp through the first crimp and through a portion of the shaft and out the side of the shaft through the lateral opening.

摘要： A surgical system includes a cannula and a guide member. The cannula is configured for positioning within an opening in tissue. The cannula includes a base and an elongated tubular member extending distally from the base. The elongated tubular member includes an annular wall defining a longitudinal passageway and defines at least one slot extending through the annular wall.
