    • A tree harvester and processor system comprising a movable base frame, an upper frame rotatable with respect to the base frame and a tree trunk cutting, handling and processing unit. A boom system displaces and positions the tree trunk cutting, handling and processing unit with respect to the rotatable upper frame.     • A device and methods for harvesting submersed wood are provided. The device comprises, a machine operatively associated with a movable boom member rotatably attached. A telescoping stick having a first and second end is pivotally attached to the movable boom in a mid portion of the stick. The second end of the telescoping stick is attached to a wood gripping-cutting head. The telescoping stick is moveable to an operative position so that the second end extends below a plane defined by a surface the machine is located upon. When in use, the second end may extend into water located below the plane defined by the surface the machine is located upon. The device may be used on land, a dock, and a wharf adjacent a water edge, or the device may be located on a floating platform.

    • This publication discloses a harvester head (10) in a timber harvesting machine and a method therein, the harvester head comprising a body (14) with at least two support and feed members (16, 20) for timber (12) to be handled, the members supporting and transferring timber (12) in the longitudinal direction. The said members (16, 20) are arranged on different sides of the transfer track for timber (12). Of the support and feed members (16, 20), at least one is mechanically operated (16) and at least one is freely rotating (20). Further, the harvester head (10) comprises adjustment members (26, 28) for the reciprocal distance of the said support and feed members (16, 20), and power transmission members (34) for using at least one mechanically operated member (16). The said at least one freely rotating timber support and feed member (20) is provided with a revolution counter (18) for measuring the transfer range of timber (12).

    • Method for thinning a forest by means of a wheeled harvester and a wheeled forwarder comprising a driver's cab and a load carrier located behind the cab. The harvester (3) is caused to advance in existing forest stands (1) in routes optimally selectable with regard to the characteristics of the stand, between main haul roads or strip roads close to each other, and is parked on suitable places along the routes for felling trees on each parking place. The trees are limbed and placed underneath the harvester between the wheels thereof, and the forwarder (4) is caused to follow the harvester in the same route as this and take care of the tree stems placed underneath the harvester and left behind it. This is achieved in that the felled trees lying in front of the forwarder are lifted by it and moved over and rearwards past the cab of the forwarder to the load carrier situated behind the cab. As the forwarder is advanced along the route, it collects the tree stems for landing them at a suitable main haul road.
