    • The invention relates to a front wheel suspension system arranged to support a vehicle chassis suspended for movement relative to its wheels, said suspension comprising a double leaf spring arrangement on each side of the chassis (3). A first leaf spring (1 ) connection means pivotably connects each said leaf spring to the chassis at a first end. A second leaf spring connection means is connected to each said leaf spring (2) at its opposite, second end by a linkage means (6, 7) which is carried on a pivot pin (8, 9) pivotably attached to a first arm of a lever (12, 13) that is supported by a pivotal connection on the vehicle chassis (3). A length adjustable unit (16) is mounted on each side of the chassis, and each said length adjustable unit (16) being operatively connected to a second arm (18, 19) of said lever for each said leaf spring, wherein each said length adjustable unit is arranged to effect a substantially vertical displacement of the second end of each leaf spring (1, 2) relative to the chassis (3).

    • An adjustable suspension arrangement for a heavy vehicle, comprising a first spring member (3) intended to be arranged in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle for suspending a first wheel axle (1 ) from a frame (2) of the vehicle, a first link member (6) arranged to be pivotable in dependence of a vertical position of said first spring member in relation to the frame (2). The arrangement further comprises a rod (10) rotatable around a longitudinal axis, and arranged in engagement with said first link member, so that a pivoting motion of said first link member is converted to rotational motion of said rod, said rotatable rod being lockable in at least two different positions, each position corresponding to a different vertical position of said spring member. The invention is based on the realization that it is advantageous to adjust the pivoting link members by means of a rotatatable rod.

    • The invention relates to a vehicle suspension comprising a pair of leaf springs (61) arranged to extend longitudinally on opposed sides of a vehicle frame. Each leaf spring (61) has a first end pivotally connected to the vehicle with a first bracket (63) attached rigidly to the frame at a first position (71). A second end is connected to the vehicle frame with a spring shackle pivotably connected to a second bracket (64) attached rigidly to the frame at a second position, in order to compensate for length changes of the leaf spring (61) under load conditions. The suspension further comprises an axle (66) extending transversely of the vehicle frame which axle is mounted to each leaf spring (61) at a position intermediate its first and second ends. At least an upper leaf of the leaf spring (61) is a parabolic spring having a convex portion (70) extending towards the frame, and that the convex portion (70) is located between the first end and the intermediate position.
