摘要： Disclosed is a flange shield for separating flanges including a polymeric fabric having a disk shape and sandwiched between the flanges and apertures inwardly spaced a distance from a circumferential edge of the polymeric fabric and able to receive fasteners that secure the flanges and the polymeric fabric together. Disclosed is a method of protecting a first flange and a second flange by separation including contacting a polymeric fabric with one of the first and the second flange and contacting the polymeric fabric that is contacted with the first or the second flange with the other of the first and the second flange. The method further includes securing the polymeric fabric between the first and the second flange by using fasteners that extend through apertures of the first and the second flange and apertures of the polymeric fabric with the first and the second flange to form a flange joint.

摘要： A connector assembly for fastening a rope to a tubular frame includes a pair of sleeves extending inside the tubular frame through a pair of aligned holes. Each sleeve has a flange portion disposed outside the tubular frame and a tubular portion arranged inside the tubular frame. Each sleeve includes a pair of clips biased outwardly of the tubular portion and engaged with an inner surface of the tubular frame. Also, the connecting assembly includes an elongated member coupled with the rope, and extending inside of a first sleeve through a second sleeve. A nut member has a cap portion engaged with the flange portion of the first sleeve, and a hollow cylindrical portion extending inside the first sleeve. The elongated member is disposed, partly, inside and in threaded engagement with the hollow cylindrical portion. In this way, a connector assembly is provided which allows an easy connection between a rope and a frame member and which also allows for easy adjustment.

摘要： Modular fishing rods comprise a number of sections of rod that are fitted together. Some form of keying is helpful to ensure that the sections of rod are each aligned correctly relative to one another. However, since the components of the rods are often made of composite material it is often difficult to form a robust keying feature. The invention provides a joint for a modular fishing rod that includes a robust and simple to align triangular keying feature, with the triangular feature having radiused corners. A butt end of a fishing rod is provided with a socket, with at least a part of the socket having a substantially triangular cross section, and a male end of a fishing rod end module also includes a complimentary substantially triangular keying feature configured to engage with the socket. The joint facilitates the assembly of modular fishing rods for a range of fishing styles.
