    • A telescopic stem device for frame elements of a vehicle seat, comprising an inner first tubular stem section (32) and an outer second tubular stem section (34) arranged coaxially outside the inner first stem section (32), forming a clearance between them. The telescopic stem sections (32, 34) are supported for sliding relative to one another by compressed air. The first stem section (32) comprises an air connection (72) for supply of compressed air to its interior. A plurality of radial holes (74) running through and distributed round the shell surface of that portion of its length which surrounds the second stem section (34) serve as connections between the interior of said first stem section (32) and said clearance formed between the stem sections (32, 34). A cylindrical slide bearing sleeve (80) is arranged between the inner first stem section (32) and the outer second stem section (34) to cover the radial holes (74) in order, during air supply to said holes, to create an air cushion for the stem sections (32, 34) to slide on relative to one another.

    • A vehicle chair (10) has a seat cushion frame (20) that is united by a forward pivot joint (A) with a forward support (30) and united by a rear pivot joint (B) with a backrest frame (40). The backrest frame (40) is united by a rear, lower pivot joint (C) with a rear support (50) and is formed by upper and lower parts (42, 44) that can be displaced relative to each other. The chair has also slide rails (80, 80) that can be anchored to the floor of a vehicle cabin, which join by bearings and in a manner that allows displacement of the forward support (30) and of the rear support (50).
