The blow diffuser advantageously extends as far as the region of the gas bag (6) cover and the folded gas bag (6) is fitted essentially beside the blow diffuser (3) and is arranged around it. The advantage of this airbag module is that the gas bag is drawn from the housing and not pushed in the usual manner. Further advantages arise therefrom.
