    • The invention further relates to polycationic multichromophores, which may be conjugated polymers, and methods, articles and compositions employing them as described herein. In some aspects, the invention relates to methods, articles and compositions for the detection and analysis of biomolecules in a sample. Provided assay include those determining the presence of a target biomolecule in a sample or its relative amount, or the assays may be quantitative or semi-quantitative. The methods can be performed on a substrate. The methods can be performed in an array format on a substrate, which can be a sensor. In some embodiments, detection assays are provided employing sensor biomolecules that do not comprise a fluorophore that can exchange energy with the cationic multichromophore. hi some aspects biological assays are provided in which energy is transferred between one or more of the multichromophore, a label on the target biomolecule, a label on the sensor biomolecule, and/or a fluorescent dye specific for a polynucleotide, in all permutations. The multichromophore may interact at least in part electrostatically with the sensor and/or the target, and an increase in energy transfer with the polymer may occur upon binding of the sensor and the target. Other variations of the inventions are described further herein.

    • Half duplex, Frequency Hopped-Spread Spectrum wireless transceivers (102), operating without a central controller, maintain time synchronization with the frequency hopping sequence for a period after transmission of a half duplex signal ceases. The wireless transceiver (102) operates their receivers (308) according to the RF frequency hopping sequence and schedule (200). The wireless transceiver (102) is then able to send a short transmission request to signal that it will start transmitting on the Frequency Hopping schedule (200) of the previously ceased transmission. A wireless transceiver (102) that was either the original transmitter or the original receiver is able to transmit this transmission request. A subset of time slots within the hopping schedule (200) can be optionally assigned to the original transmitter and original receiver to obviate collisions of the transmit request transmissions from both device at the same time.

    • An optical fiber splicing module comprises a base (1) and a cover board (2). An upper operation plane and an lower operation plane are arranged on the base (1). The upper operation plane is provided with an optical cable fiber core winding area, a bare fiber winding and fusion welding area and an idapter holder (3). The lower operation plane is provided with a fiber pigtail winding area. 16 or 32 bayonets are arranged on the adapter holder (3), the bayonets are longitudinally arranged along the vertical direction of the operation planes. The size of the bayonets is just suitably connected to the vertically placed adapters (5). Not only the number of the bayonets is increased to a number meeting the requirements of the optical splitter, but also the volume of the entire optical fiber splicing module can be ensured not to be increased by using the arrangement of the bayonets and the matching method of the bayonets with the vertically arranged adapters (5). Also, the integrity degree can be improved and the requirements of the optical splitter can be met, without changing the shape and size of existing adapters (5).
