摘要： The present invention is related to a method for purifying diatomaceous earth wherein the natural colloidal structure of the material is retained, which comprises preparing a suspension of diatomaceous earth in a liquid wherein diatomaceous earth is insoluble, separating diatomaceous earth from the suspension, treating diatomaceous earth with an inorganic or organic acid, heat-treating the thus obtained product at a temperature not higher than 300°C, subjecting the product obtained to oxidative treatment and drying the purified product. The invention also relates to a product obtainable by the above-mentioned method.

摘要： Potassium channels KvI.3 are known to be implicated in immunological diseases and graft rejections. Disclosed are peptides capable of blocking with high affinity and specificity potassium channels KvI.3, their pharmaceutical compositions, and methods for their use to block KvI .3 potassium channels, to treat various immunological conditions and to diagnostic applications. Methods for their chemical synthesis and correct folding are also disclosed. Exemplary peptides correspond to protein components (Vm23 and Vm24) isolated from the venom of the Mexican scorpion Vaejovis mexicanus smithi. Vm23 and Vm24 bind to hKvl.3 channels in an almost irreversible manner, showing a Kd value in the order of 3 picomolar range, when applied to human lymphocytes cultures in vitro. Vm24 was chemically synthesized and used in in vivo experiments to successfully treat sensitized rats (on the DTH-response). Neither Vm24 nor synthetic Vm24 is toxic to mice when injected at relatively high concentrations (assayed up to 10,000 micrograms per kilogram mouse body weight). These peptides (Vm24 and Vm23) and their functional equivalent analogs with at least 83% of sequence identity are lead compounds, candidates for the treatment of various immunological conditions and diagnostic applications.

摘要： The control signal for regulating the intensity of the thermal radiation directed toward the infant is the temperature of the measurement probe in the form of an absolutely black or grey body, which is situated in the space to be heated by thermal radiation or in another space which is closely and continually connected with the latter. Said probe measures the quantity of thermal energy used for heating, released into the environment by the infant, removed from the environment by thermal radiation, and furthermore dissipated by heat transfer into the ambient air. The arrangement described comprises a heating radiator (1) serving to heat the infant and connected to the regulating unit (4), a reclining surface (2) or a bed (7) serving to receive said infant, or a heating radiator (1) and a boost radiator (11) in close association with the latter; in the thermal radiation space of one of the above-mentioned elements is arranged a measurement probe (3) provided with a temperature sensor (8), which sends out the control signal for the regulating unit (4) that controls the intensity of the thermal radiation; also provided is a support frame (5) or a base (6) for grouping all of the said elements into a single unit.
