    • The present disclosure relates to improvements in the control of a fuel system in an engine such as a combustion engine and in particular to a method of controlling the fuel system by determining the opening of a pressure relief valve and initiating a reseat strategy for the valve. The fuel system comprises a source of high pressure fuel and a pressure relief valve having at least one inlet fluidly coupled to the source of high pressure fuel and at least one outlet. The pressure relief valve has a closed position in which fuel is not able to pass from the at least one inlet to the at least one outlet and at least one open position in which fuel is able to pass from the at least one inlet to the at least one outlet. The method comprises the steps of continuously measuring the pressure of the fuel in the fuel source, determining whether the pressure relief valve is in an open position by comparing the measured pressure to at least one preset pressure threshold and generating an open signal if it is determined that the pressure relief valve is in an open position.

    • The present invention relates to recombinant Clostridium difficile antigens based on a fusion protein that consists of or comprises a first amino acid sequence and a second amino acid sequence, wherein: a) the first amino acid sequence is provided by an amino acid sequence that has at least 80% sequence identity with an amino acid sequence consisting of residues 500-1850 of a C. difficile Toxin A sequence or residues 1500-1851 of a C. difficile Toxin B sequence; and b) the second amino acid sequence is provided by an amino acid sequence that has at least 80% sequence identity with an amino acid sequence consisting of a long repeat unit located within amino acid residues 1851-2710 of a C. difficile Toxin A sequence or within amino acid residues 1852-2366 of a C. difficile Toxin B sequence; though with the proviso that the fusion protein is not a polypeptide comprising amino acid residues 543-2710 of a C. difficile Toxin A and with the proviso that the fusion protein is not a polypeptide comprising amino acid residues 543-2366 of a C. difficile Toxin B. Also provided is the use of said antigens for the prevention/ treatment/ suppression of Clostridium difficile infection (CDI), together with methods for generating said antigens, methods for generating antibodies that bind to said antigens, and the use of said antibodies for the prevention/ treatment/ suppression of CDI.

    • An electronic device is provided with data capture logic for efficient data capture. A first set of applications on the device can be activated when the device is in an unlocked state, but cannot be activated when the device is in a locked state. An input mechanism detects user interactions with the device, and lock control logic is provided that transitions the device from a locked state to an unlocked state in response to a predefined user interaction. The data capture logic is responsive to a first predefined user interaction to invoke a data capture operation, independent of the lock state of the device. The data capture operation can be activated without the need for a standard unlock operation to be performed, reducing delays before the user can type or dictate a piece of data to capture that data. The differentiated lock management and gesture-responsive invocation is especially useful to provide efficient data capture for portable electronic devices with touch-sensitive display screens. The invention provides apparatus, methods and electronics and/or computer programs for efficient input, saving, retrieval and use of data.
