    • The invention relates to a method of installing and turnably journaling a connecting rod (2) to a piston (1). The piston (1) is provided with a bearing member (3) having a curved bearing surface to be turnably engaged with an end part (2a) of the connecting rod (2) provided with similar bearing surface. The bearing member (3) has a ring-like shape with a cut-out (3a) at the side of the connecting rod (2).
