    • The invention relates to the vibration damper systems (here, method and apparatus) for active removal of beyond-normal internal vibrations from turbine-generator-sets [T-G-Ss]. The invention relies on dynamic forces generated by at least a pair (when symmetrically placed) of "wings" or by at least one "wing" (when centrally played) , or combination of that, and associated hardware mounted on the bearing housing, which operate to offset internally produced vibrations in an active or "real time" fashion. This is in contrast to the typical method of taking the turbine-generator off-line, shutting it down and then eliminating the source of vibration. The invention allows to the generator to remain operational during adjustments. Thus, it remains on-line producing electricity and associated revenue. The system may be installed at presently operating T-G-Ss. It also foresees the simple developments to be done in future designed T-G-Ss for use of this method. The use of invention provides a real solution to internal vibrations that develop in turbine-generator-sets throughout their lifetime.

    • An apparatus (100) for carrying reticles during a multi-step, multi-location treatment process comprising a structural frame (10) carrying at least three holding rods (20, 23), the rods (20, 23) and/or frame (10) being constructed of a hard inner core material and a chemically resistant outer material is disclosed. The apparatus (100), in one embodiment, further comprises a plurality of slots for supporting the reticles that minimize the contact area between the reticles and the apparatus. Suitable hard inner core materials include carbon fiber, quartz, ceramic, PEEK, and silicon carbide. Suitable outer material includes fluoropolymers, such PTFE, PFA, TFM, and ECTFE. The apparatus is preferably adapted to withstand a reticle treatment process temperature between 20 - 180 °C. The rods (20-23) and frame (10) are preferably designed to minimize shadowing effects of reticles supported in the apparatus being exposed to megasonic energy. In another aspect, the invention is a method of processing reticles using the inventive apparatus.

    • A vibration isolator assembly, such as an isolator bushing or cradle mount, includes a housing and an isolator connected to the housing. A shaft assembly includes first and second mating components, the first component being connected to the elastomer and having a cavity of a first dimension for receiving the second component having a different, second dimension therein. The differing dimensions alter the stress characteristics of the vibration isolator assembly. In the preferred arrangement, the shaft assembly includes a first component comprising first and second portions, a thin layer of elastomer interposed between the first and second components and a second component which is inserted between the portions to relieve tensile stress in the isolator and, if desired, to impart a compressive stress in the isolator. The thin layer of elastomer permits the first components to be made more economically. The first component of the shaft assembly is made at a lower dimensional tolerance and subsequently produced to a higher dimensional tolerance by molding the thin layer of elastomer to a precision tolerance.
