    • A switchable gain amplifier is provided. The amplifier includes an input, an output, and a first transistor having a control region, a first region, and a second region. The conduction from the first region to the second region of the first transistor is responsive to the voltage on the control region relative to the second region. An input impedance matching network is coupled with the input and the control region and an output impedance matching network is coupled with the output and the first region. A first switchable biasing circuit is coupled with the control region to switchably bias the transistor between an on state and an off state. A passive bypasse network has a firt switch to switchably couple the input impedance matching network with the output impedance matching network through the passive bypass network.
