摘要： Techniques involving the coordination of wireless activities are disclosed. For example, an apparatus may include two or more transceivers. These transceivers may include a first transceiver to communicate wirelessly across cellular links, and a second transceiver to communicate wirelessly across wireless data networking links. The apparatus may also include controllers, each controlling wireless communications of a corresponding transceiver. Information may be exchanged with each other regarding operation of the transceivers. Through the exchange of such information, activity (e.g., transmission and reception of wireless signals) may be coordinated among the transceivers.

摘要： Various embodiments for providing fully qualified domain name (FDQN) resolution for a home network realm based on an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) are described. In one embodiment, a mobile computing device may be arranged to retrieve an IMSI including a Mobile Country Code (MCC) and a Mobile Network Code (MNC) and to derive an initial FQDN from the IMSI using an initial MNC rule. The mobile computing device may transmit an initial domain name system (DNS) request comprising the initial FQDN. The mobile computing device may be arranged to derive an alternate FQDN from the IMSI using an alternate MNC rule and to transmit a subsequent DNS request comprising the alternate FQDN when a DNS error message is received in response to the initial DNS request. 摘要： A method and apparatus for radio link control during network congestion in a mobile wireless communication device connected to a radio network subsystem in a wireless cellular network. The mobile wireless communication device detects a pending uplink control message. The mobile wireless communication device determines that an uplink channel on which the pending uplink control message is to be sent has insufficient bandwidth for uplink transmission. After waiting a congestion delay time interval, the mobile wireless communication device sends the pending uplink control message on an uplink signaling channel instead of on the uplink channel. In some embodiments, the uplink channel is associated with a radio access bearer and the uplink signaling channel is associated with a signaling radio bearer.

The authentication server authenticates a UMA subscriber for accessing an unlicensed mobile access network (UMAN) that includes the UNC and the AP. Some embodiments define an interface between the UNC and the authentication server uses Remote Access Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) protocol. In some embodiments, the authentication server is an Authorization, Authentication, and Accounting (AAA) server.

The wireless communications circuitry may include radio-frequency transceiver circuitry with first and second ports that are coupled by switching circuitry to first and second antennas. A first receiver in the transceiver circuitry may be associated with the first port and a second receiver in the transceiver circuitry may be associated with the second port. An electronic device may be operated in a single receiver mode in which only one of the receivers is active to conserve power or a dual receiver mode in which signals from both antennas may be received in parallel to compare antenna performance. Based on antenna performance metrics, the electronic device may adjust the switching circuitry to ensure that an optimal antenna is being used.

摘要： A method for radio link control in a mobile wireless communication device The mobile wireless device transmits a sequence of service requests to establish radio resources with a wireless communication network for a data packet in a pending data buffer. When no radio resources are allocated in response to the transmitted sequence of service requests, the mobile wireless device sets a minimum threshold for the pending data buffer, discards all pending data packets above the minimum threshold and discards the oldest pending data packet. The mobile wireless device repeats transmitting and discarding until a radio resource is allocated or the pending data packet buffer is empty. A retry interval between successive service requests is increased after transmitting each sequence of service requests until reaching a maximum retry interval value.
