摘要： The invention concerns medical applications and can be used in oncology, as well as in neurosurgery, traumatology, neurology, rehabilitation. The aim of the inventions claimed is the creation of a new method of local exposure on biological tissues and a new tissue-substitute applicator that benefits to both destruction and replacement of tumor tissue by restored biological tissue with no external exposure applied (alternating magnetic field, heating, etc.) The aim set is solved by using porous polytetrafluoroethylene as a cytostatic material. The aim set is also achieved by using porous polytetrafluoroethylene in production of a tissue-substitute applicator for treating or replacing tumor tissues. The aim set for the method of local exposure to biological tissues, including the placement of a tissue-substitute polymeric applicator in direct contact with the biological tissue to be exposed, is solved by using porous polytetrafluoroethylene for the constituent polymeric material.

The fiber wadding includes a plurality of fibers that contain a biodegradable resin as a principal component and a siloxane. Outside diameter of the plurality of fibers of the wadding is from about 0.05 μm to about 30 μm. Bulk density of the fiber wadding is about 0.005-0.3 g/cm3.

摘要： An improved method for preventing adhesions during surgery. Tissue surfaces and surgical articles involved in the surgery are coated with a solution of a hydrophilic, polymeric material prior to manipulation of the tissue during surgery. The polymeric material is (1) a substantially water-soluble polymer having at least one C.sub.n F.sub.2n+1 substituent wherein n.gtoreq.4, having a molecular weight of less than about 60,000; (2) a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or complex thereof; or (3) mixtures thereof. The concentration of the aqueous solution of the polymeric material is in the range of from about 0.1% to about 5.0% by weight, the molecular weight and concentration having values such that the aqueous solution is capable of providing wet coatings on the tissue.

摘要： Methods for the diagnosis and treatment of articular disorders comprising the use of fluorocarbons are disclosed. The methods provide for the introduction of a fluorocarbon into an articular region to replace or augment natural synovial fluid. The introduced fluorocarbons, which may be in various forms including liquids, gels or emulsions, provide articular lubrication and cushioning which is effective for the treatment of disorders such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Additionally, the methods of the present invention may be used to provide high resolution articular images, reduce articular inflammation and introduce bioactive agents to the articular region.

摘要： A method for producing a flocculent three dimensional fibrous bioactive material using an electrospinning process includes electrospinning a biodegradable fiber by applying an electrical charge to a nozzle of an electrospinning apparatus such that a spinning solution contained therein is made into an electrospun fiber, which is attracted toward a collector container that is electrically grounded and is filled with an ethanol liquid; receiving the electrospun fiber emitted from the nozzle on a surface of the ethanol liquid in the collector container; recovering and drying the electrospun fiber to obtain the flocculent three dimensional fibrous bioactive material having a bulk density of from about 0.01 g/cm3 to about 0.1 g/cm3 as measured in accordance with JIS L 1097.

摘要： A processed product for hair and skin treatment, having binary and tertiary fluid phase levels prior to remixing and therapeutic use is disclosed. The invention discloses defined amounts of admixed components including an Iodine complex having tincture of iodine solution and povidone-iodine compound, a diluting fluid complex having a water and mineral oil constituent, and a cod liver oil component, which, after admixing, are ambiently exposed to a photon-light-energy component from sunlight or substantially equivalent artificial light to produce a processed product having at least binary product reaction fluid levels and containing a nucleophically iodinated cod liver oil compound. The composition is mixed prior to therapeutic application of targeted hair, skin, mucosal or internal areas of a human or animal, mixing the fluid levels to provide synergistic properties and enhanced delivery of the remaining iodine-reaction components and the iodinated cod liver oil compound contained in the product, enhancing the effect and delivery to targeted areas of vitamins A and D and other constituents in the processed reaction product.

摘要： The present invention relates to iodine demand disinfectants. It relates in particular to a process for preparing a polyiodide-resin for use as an iodine demand disinfectant wherein a porous strong base anion exchange resin in a salt form, is contacted with a material capable of donating a member absorbable by the resin so as to convert the resin to the polyiodide-resin. The adsorbable member is selected from the group comprising I.sub.2 and polyiodide ion having a valence of -1. The process is characterized in that conversion of the anion exchange resin to the polyiodide-resin is effected at elevated temperature and elevated pressure, the elevated temperature being 100 degrees C. or higher, the elevated pressure being greater than atmospheric pressure. The present invention also relates to disinfectant substance comprising an iodine (impregnated) resin as produced by the above process.
