    • A control lever apparatus for actuating two sheathed control cables, such as push/pull cables, for connecting together two or more control stations, particularly in marine applications. A manual lever and sprocket are journalled for concurrent rotation relative to a body having a longitudinal body axis. A sheath anchoring structure cooperates with the body and has a sheath clamp adapted for securing the sheaths of the control cables laterally spaced apart and disposed parallel to the body axis. A length of chain passes over the sprocket and has two opposite end portions which extend generally axially of the body. A core connector is secured to each end of the chain and is adapted to be secured to the cores of the control cable assemblies. The apparatus provides a positive and simple mechanical connection between two or more control heads which can be simply installed, and for usual lengths of cable runs does not incur excessive frictional losses.

    • An apparatus is provided for sequentially actuating a pair of valves used to control a flow of brake fluid in a vehicle. Each valve is yieldably biased toward a normal position. The apparatus includes an actuation member that is tiltable in response to movement of a piezoelectric member to accomplish sequential operation of the valve pair, the actuating member being tiltable during a first adjustment stroke counter to the force of the first valve spring about a first axis of rotation defined by a bearing point fixed to the housing and by a compression spring in order to actuate the first valve and move the first tappet to a selected position. The actuating member is also tiltable during a second adjustment stroke counter to the force of the compression spring about a second axis of rotation defined by the bearing point fixed to the housing and by the moved first tappet in order to actuate the second valve.

    • The disclosure is of a control mechanism including a rockshaft carried by a support and itself having fixed thereto an upstanding rocker element. A cam is disposed alongside the rocker element, having a lower end formed with an opening that loosely embraces the rockshaft so as to enable relative movement of the cam within at least the limits of the opening. Lost-motion means interconnects the rocker element and cam for rocking of the two in unison about the rockshaft axis while permitting the aforesaid limited movement. Adjusting means is provided between the cam and rocker element for achieving adjustment of the cam relative to the rocker element while retaining the floatability or relative movement of the cam.

    • A control mechanism for controlling the operation of both the clutch and throttle of an engine by a single main lever, which comprises a lever means, a clutch operating means having a clutch member and a sliding member; a throttle operating means having a throttle member and a sliding member; a standing means having a standing clutch guide means, along which the sliding member of the clutch operating means slides, and a standing throttle guide means, along which the sliding member of the throttle operating means slides; and a rotatable means having a rotatable clutch guide means, along which the sliding member of the clutch operating means slides, and a rotatable throttle guide means, along which the throttle operating means slides. The control mechanism assures that the throttle is held out of operation until the clutch is completely shifted, while the clutch is held in the shifted position during the operation of the throttle, and has particular relevance to controlling the operation of both the throttle and clutch in an engine of comparatively small power such as engine for motorboat from the viewpoint that it is quite economical in manufacturing and quite reliable owing to the simple construction comprising trouble-free parts.
