    • An access floor panel having an improved applied edge trim element comprising a panel base capable of being suspended above a subfloor surface, having a load surface for supporting loads, and a method for forming such an edge trim element. Affixed to the load surface is a covering comprising a top layer having a thickness and an underlying backing layer. The covering further comprises a wear surface with a central portion and perimeter edges therearound, the wear surface along the perimeter edges of the covering being etched to a depth that is less than the thickness of the top layer. An edge trim element, such as ink, is applied to the etched portion of the covering, providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance to the access floor panel.

    • A floor panel for use in elevated floor assemblies having a bottom metal sheet and a top metal sheet sandwiched on each side of a solid noncompressible core. The bottom has an upwardly turned side deflected away from the side of the core forming a first shoulder on the upper edge thereof and the top has a downwardly deflected side spaced from the first shoulder forming a second shoulder such that they are spaced, non-overlapping sides. A flexible edge member having an outer shoulder engaging the first shoulder of said bottom metal sheet and an inner channel formed longitudinally thereof to receive the downwardly deflected edge of the top metal sheet is wedged between the top metal sheet edge and the bottom metal sheet edge and is locked in by the first and second shoulder on the bottom and top sheet respectively. Further, an abuttment surface formed on the outer and inner edges adapted to abutt the inner edge of the bottom metal sheet and the side of the noncompressible core so as to limit rotation from torsional forces applied to the outer flexible edge member of the floor panel.

    • Systems, methods, and components for the construction and disassembly of raised panel assemblies. These systems, methods, and components may include a flow-limiting structure that is configured to define at least one boundary of a channel that includes at least a portion of a gap between adjacent raised panels and is configured to receive a sealant material. The flow-limiting structure may limit a flow of the sealant material therepast, thereby decreasing an overall volume of sealant material needed for construction of the raised panel assembly and/or limiting undesired adhesion of the raised panels to other structures. These systems, methods, and components also may include an elongate disassembly aid that is configured to sever at least a portion of the sealant material from between adjacent raised panels upon removal from the raised panel assembly, such as to decrease a time needed for disassembly and/or repair of the raised panel assembly.
