摘要： Provided is a method of preparing a transparent, non-elastomeric optical article including (1) combining to form a reaction mixture free of urethanation catalysts (a) a polyisocyanate component; and (b) an active hydrogen component of polyol and/or polythiol, and at least one compound containing both amine and hydroxyl functional groups; (2) allowing the polyisocyanate component to react with amine functional groups in the active hydrogen component to form an intermediate product including a polyurea prepolymer having hydroxyl functional groups in admixture with the polyol and/or polythiol and, optionally, the compound containing both amine and hydroxyl functional groups; (3) mixing the intermediate product with additional polyisocyanates and optionally a urethanation catalyst to form a second reaction mixture; (4) introducing the second reaction mixture to a mold to form a thermoset polymerizate; and (5) releasing the polymerizate from the mold. Optical films and articles prepared by the method also are provided.

摘要： Multi-layered golf ball core sub-assemblies and the resulting golf balls are provided. The core structure includes an inner core (center) comprising a foam composition, preferably foamed polyurethane. The intermediate and outer core layers are preferably formed from foamed and non-foamed thermoset compositions. For example, the intermediate core can be formed from a thermoset rubber so there are adjoining foam core layers (inner and intermediate) and the outer core layer can be formed from a non-foamed thermoset rubber. The core layers have different hardness and specific gravity levels. The core assembly preferably has a positive hardness gradient extending across the entire assembly. The core structure and resulting ball have relatively good resiliency.

摘要： A polyurethane elastomer, e.g., for use in polyurethane mats, includes the reaction product of an isocyanate component that includes at least one isocyanate and an isocyanate-reactive component that includes (a) a first polyol component including from 40 wt % to 90 wt % of at least one polyether polyol having an average hydroxyl functionality that is greater than 2.5 and a number average molecular weight from 300 g/mol to 1,500 g/mol; (b) a second polyol component including from 2 wt % to 20 wt % of at least one ethylene oxide capped polyoxypropylene-polyoxyethylene polyol having an average hydroxyl functionality greater than 1.5 and less than 4.0, a number average molecular weight from 4,000 g/mol to 6,000 g/mol, and from 60% to 85% of a primary hydroxyl group content; and (c) a third polyol component including from 1 wt % to 20 wt % of at least one polyoxypropylene polyol having an average hydroxyl functionality greater than 1.5 and less than 4.0 and a number average molecular weight from 300 g/mol to 1,500 g/mol.

摘要： An expandable polyurethane composition contains (A) a polyisocyanate, (B) an active hydrogen containing compound containing (B1) a polyol and (B2) water, and (C) a cross-linking agent composition. The cross-linking agent composition (C) contains a cross-linking agent (C1) and a carboxylic acid (C2). The cross-linking agent (C1) can be selected from an alkanolamine (a) represented by an expression: HxR1yN((R2O)nH)3-x-y, and an aminosilane (b) represented by an expression: (R3O)qR43-qSi—R5—(NHCH2CH2)pNR6R7. A content of the cross-linking agent composition (C) is 0.1 parts by mass to 20 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the active hydrogen containing compound (B), and the containing number of moles of the cross-linking agent (C1) is larger than that of the carboxylic acid (C2). It is possible to delay a reaction without deteriorating a final reactivity, to suppress viscosity increasing just after an injection into a mold, to improve hardness and to attain lowering of a pressure to be applied to a cell communication.

The cyanate ester foam can be heated to a temperature greater than 400° C. in a non-oxidative atmosphere to provide a carbonaceous char foam.
