摘要： A formulation for making at least one element of a golf ball, wherein the formulation includes: (i) from 50 weight percent to 95 weight percent of a thermoplastic composition comprising: (1) at least one ethylene acid copolymer consisting essentially of copolymerized comonomers of: (A) ethylene, and (B) from 5 weight percent to 25 weight percent of at least one α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid having from 3 carbon atoms to 8 carbon atoms, based on the total weight of monomers present in the ethylene acid copolymer; wherein the acid moieties of component (1) are neutralized to a level of from 25 percent to 220 percent; and (ii) from 5 weight percent to 50 weight percent of a crosslinked material having a gel content of at least 80 weight percent, wherein the crosslinked material is a crosslinked elastomer, a crosslinked rubber, or a blend of a crosslinked elastomer and a crosslinked rubber; a process for making the above formulation; at least one element of a multilayer golf ball and a process for making the at least one element of a multilayer golf ball using the above formulation; a multilayer golf ball including (a) at least one core, and (b) a cover; wherein the at least one core is made from the above formulation; and a process of manufacturing the above multilayer golf ball.

In an aspect, a golf club includes an elongated shaft; a grip disposed at a first end of the elongated shaft; and a head connected to a second end of the elongated shaft, the head having a flat face configured for contact with a golf ball, in which the flat face is formed of a negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) foam material, in which the head has a Poisson's ratio of between 0 and −1, and in which the NPR foam material includes an NPR metal foam, an NPR ceramic foam, or an NPR-PPR composite foam.

摘要： An object of the present disclosure is to provide a golf ball having an increased spin rate when being hit with an 8-iron while suppressing rise in a spin rate when being hit with a driver. The present disclosure provides a golf ball comprising a spherical core having an inner core and an outer core, and a cover positioned outside the spherical core, wherein A×a is 12,200 or less and B×b is 20,400 or more, where “a” represents an average hardness (Shore C) of a hardness (H2.5) at a point of 2.5 mm from a center of the spherical core and a hardness (H5) at a point of 5 mm from the center of the spherical core, “b” represents an average hardness (Shore C) of a hardness (H7.5) at a point of 7.5 mm from the center of the spherical core and a hardness (H9) at a point of 9 mm from the center of the spherical core, “A” represents an impulse difference (kN·μs) between a back spin impulse and a top spin impulse measured using a contact force tester under a condition corresponding to a condition when the golf ball is hit with a driver, and “B” represents an impulse difference (kN·μs) between a back spin impulse and a top spin impulse measured using a contact force tester under a condition corresponding to a condition when the golf ball is hit with an 8-iron.

摘要： Golf balls having a single or dual-layered solid core are provided. In one embodiment, the golf ball has dimensions and properties that do not conform to the rules of the United States Golf Association (USGA). For example, the ball weight; ball size; ball spherical symmetry; ball initial velocity; and/or ball overall distance may fall outside of the USGA standards. The dual-layered core can have an inner core comprising a thermoplastic composition and surrounding outer core comprising a thermoset composition. In another embodiment, the dual-layered core has an inner core comprising a thermoplastic composition and outer core comprising a thermoset composition. The thermoplastic composition preferably comprises an ethylene acid copolymer ionomer and plasticizer. The thermoset composition preferably comprises polybutadiene rubber. The ball further includes a cover of at least one layer.

摘要： A method for producing a golf ball of the present invention includes the steps of: forming a first coating film on a surface of a covering having a plurality of dimples; and forming a second coating film on a surface of the first coating film. The second coating film is formed of a second coating material composition containing a polyurethane coating material and a solvent having a boiling point of 80° C. or less. An elastic recovery rate of the second coating film is 50% or more. In the golf ball of the present invention obtained by the method, an edge ratio which is a ratio of a film thickness of the second coating film in an edge portion of the dimple to a film thickness of the second coating film in a central portion of the dimple is 50% or more.
