    • A lower spoke cored bar of a spoke cored bar constituting a spoke portion couples one end portion of a first coupling portion to a rim cored bar. The lower spoke cored bar couples one end portion of a second coupling portion to a boss cored bar. The lower spoke cored bar is provided with a vertical wall portion which couples a bending-shaped first bent portion to the other end portion of the first coupling portion, and which couples a second bent portion in a bending form to the other end portion of the second coupling portion. The rim cored bar is provided with a deformation allowing portion capable of deforming. The vertical wall portion and deformation allowing portions are arranged substantially on the same line.

    • First and second spoke cores are arranged linearly through the boss plate so that most of the lower ends of the first and second spoke cores are located above a middle line. A third spoke core is arranged in a direction perpendicular to the first and second spoke cores. A pair of tine portions are provided in the third spoke core so as to be connected to the first and second spoke cores, thereby the tine portions and the first and second spoke cores intersect each other obliquely. In the tine portions, through holes and reception seats are provided so that the air bag module is fixed with screws and the through holes while the air bag module abuts on the reception seats.

    • Upon self-alignment of a steering wheel of the present invention, a steering wheel body has its ring plane displaced toward the vertical plane by means of plastic deformation of the steering wheel core. There is located a switch operation portion in at least one of the two front spokes neighboring a front space inside the ring portion and generally symmetrically arranged relative to the boss portion. The cores of the front spokes are further provided at positions generally symmetric relative to the boss portion and to the boss portion relative to the switch operation portion with deformable portions, respectively, to be twist-deformable upon self-alignment.
