摘要： A molded concrete U-wall construction block including a molded concrete U-wall construction block structure formed from cured concrete poured about a block cage made from reinforcing material during a block manufacturing process. The block cage includes an open aperture formed in each of its stem reinforcing portions. During the block manufacturing process, the first and second support members of a support mechanism are inserted within the open apertures formed in the stem reinforcing sections of the block cage, and cooperate with the open apertures of the block cage so as to (i) support the block cage when being loaded into a block manufacturing machine, (ii) define central apertures molded in each stem portion of the concrete U-wall construction block structure, and (iii) lift the molded concrete U-wall construction block when being unloaded from the machine.

摘要： A pre-stressed concrete box culvert includes a three-sided culvert top section having a pre-stressed top slab, a first sidewall and a second sidewall. The first and the second sidewalls extend orthogonally from opposite ends of the pre-stressed top slab, and the first and the second sidewalls each include a free end that has at least one male or female connector. The pre-stressed concrete box culvert includes a three-sided culvert bottom section having a pre-stressed bottom slab and a third sidewall and a fourth sidewall. The third and the fourth sidewalls extend orthogonally from opposite ends of the pre-stressed bottom slab, and the third and the fourth sidewalls each include a free end that has at least one male or female connector to mate with the at least one corresponding male or female connector arranged at one of the respective free ends of the first and the second sidewalls.

摘要： A process for forming an artificial reef includes forming a form having a geometric shape, applying at least one blockout onto a surface of the form such that the blockout extends outwardly of the surface of the form, applying a sprayable concrete over the form and over a portion of the blockout, curing the sprayable concrete on the form for a period of time such that the sprayable concrete adheres to the blockout, and removing the cured sprayable concrete and the blockout from the surface of the form. The blockout is of a cast concrete material such as a cinder block. The blockout has openings therein so as to open to an interior of the artificial reef.

摘要： A load-carrying modular structure assembled from 3-D structural modules constituting parallelepipeds with rectangular faces, the 3-D modules adjoining each other along said faces. The modules comprise reinforcing diagonal beams (RDBs) disposed along diagonals that connect vertices of the parallelepipeds. The RDBs form a 3-D multi-tetrahedron lattice whereby said modular structure behaves under load as a multi-tetrahedron structure. A basic 3-D module for assembling the modular structure has six RDBs along facial diagonals forming a tetrahedron. The 3-D module may have RDBs also along the other six diagonals and along diagonals connecting centers of the box's faces. The 3-D modules may have cut-outs and passages for water currents. They may have internal hollow volumes and controlled buoyancy, and may be assembled from shell elements.
