    • A method of installing siding on a structure includes the steps of positioning a starter strip at a base of the structure, mounting the starter strip to the structure, and providing a first panel. The starter strip includes a top edge including a top front edge that extends above a top rear edge. The first panel includes a top edge and a bottom edge. The method further includes the step of positioning the bottom edge of the first panel atop the top edge of the starter strip such that a bottom rear edge and a bottom middle edge of the first panel abut a top front edge and a top rear edge, respectively, of the starter strip. The method also includes the step of mounting the first panel to the structure.

    • Method(s) and device(s) are presented for accurately positioning and fastening a surface cover to the surface. A surface cover can be provided with a cover snap member that has a drill guide through which a hole can be drilled into the surface. The hole can be used to fasten a surface snap member, which snaps together with the cover snap member. The surface snap member can be attached to the surface through a separate screw. Alternatively, the surface snap member can have an integral screw that provides for self-attachment. The surface snap member can have a bore which aligns with the drill guide when the surface snap member and the cover snap member are snapped together. The user can snap the cover snap member and surface snap member and drill a hole into the surface through the channel formed by the aligned drill guide and bore.

    • A masonry siding for use on a wall is provided comprising one or more layers for creating masonry siding; and one or more strategically positioned inserts embedded within the one or more layers allowing to secure the masonry siding on a wall. The inserts are positioned in a mold in order to allow for the securing of the masonry siding to a wall or building structure, by screwing a bolt or other similar device through the insert, which runs along the width of the masonry siding. The bolt or screw is then completely hidden from view as it penetrates the front face of the insert completely. A method is also provided for manufacturing a masonry siding with inserts to secure the masonry siding to a wall by providing steps to create the masonry siding from a mold with the inserts within the mold.

    • The object of the invention is a unit fixing insulation to the wall intended both for styrofoam insulation as well as for mineral wool insulation. A unit fixing insulation to a wall, according to the invention, is formed with the locating sleeve on which a pressing sleeve is slidably mounted, constituting an integral unit with a circular pressing plate provided with slitting teeth arranged along the circumference of a circular plate and the locating sleeve is ended at one end with an expansion zone and at the other end with a circular plate, whereas the locating sleeve houses an expansion element, preferably in the form of a screw. A unit characterised in that the expansion element has a head embedded permanently in the sleeve with an outer thread and a polygonal hole is provided within the sleeve, whereas a pressing plate is ended with a circular flange which houses the insulating cap, while the teeth of the pressing plate have side and front sharp edges.
