摘要： A deformable device has an extended state, a flattened state, and a rolled state if a beam, where a stiffness and strength of the deformable beam or hinge in the extended state is greater than a different stiffness and strength of the deformable beam or hinge in the flattened state. An end face cross section includes a main C curved member which defines an about circular shape of an arc ranging between about a quarter arc and a substantially full circle. A periodic C curved member defines at least two about C shaped curves. The periodic C curved member has a first periodic C curved member end mechanically coupled to the first main C curved member end, and a second periodic C curved member end mechanically coupled to the second main C curved member end. A deformable device with a V shaped member is also described.

The building unit (10, 200, 210) has a planar body (12) having two major side faces (12.1) and two ends (12.2) between each side face (12.1), and a connection interface (28, 30) provided at each of the ends, for connecting similar building units (10, 200, 210) with complemental connection interfaces. The body (12) comprises three walls (14, 16, 18) arranged side-to-side and transversely spaced from each other, the three walls (14, 16, 18) thus defining two planar spaces (20, 22) therebetween, and a plurality of reinforcing webs (24) in the first space, for providing structural support to the building unit (10, 200, 210). The second space (22) defines at least one hollow cavity for receiving a matched insulation insert (25) thereby to impart insulating properties to the building unit (10, 200, 210).

摘要： An extrusion profile and cap system is provided. The extrusion profile may be made of metals, polymers, ceramics, and the like. The extrusion profile may include an outer perimeter forming an internal cavity. At least one channel may be formed along the outer perimeter and protruding into the internal cavity. The cap is releasably attachable to the extrusion profile and may cover at least a portion of the channel. The cap may hide bolts, screws, angle bars, wires and the like within the channel.

A cover plate is made of a plastic material and extends along at least a portion of the length of the elongate member. A plurality of panels made of a plastic material are arranged at an angle to the cover plate, and a lower surface of each of the panels mates with an upper surface of the cover plate. The plastic materials used can include virgin plastic, thermoplastic, recycled thermoplastic composite, recycled structural composite, combinations thereof, and the like.
