    • An anchoring unit is made up of a screen-type sleeve and an insert sleeve to be placed into the screen-type sleeve. The unit is anchored by a hardenable mass. After the screen-type sleeve is inserted into a borehole in a structure with internal open spaces, the hardenable mass is injected into the screen-type sleeve. When the insert sleeve is placed into the screen-type sleeve, the hardenable mass is forced outwardy through openings in the screen-type sleeve into the open spaces in the structure. The two sleeves each have an inside surface and an outside surface with alternating projecting surfaces and recessed surfaces to facilitate a positive lock with the hardenable mass. Further, the alternating surfaces improve the distribution of the hardenable mass. Preferably, the two sleeves are formed of a plastics material. A fastening element can be inserted into the insert sleeve for securing an object to the structure.

External thread (1b) cuts into the inner wall (2b) of the expansion sleeve (2) as the extracting tool is screwed in and, as a result, forms a positively locked connection with the expansion sleeve. The expansion sleeve (2) can be pulled out of the borehole (9) in the receiving material (3) by applying an axial force to the force application member (1c).

    • An axially extending sleeve (1), for use as an anchor secured by grout or a hardenable mass in a blind bore (2a) in a structural component (2), has an outside surface with a radially outwardly projection extending in the axial direction of the sleeve. The sleeve has a closed first end leading in the insertion direction and a trailing second end. The projection extends from the second end in the axial direction toward the first end. An elastic layer (3) is placed over the surface of the structural component containing the bore and a hole (3a) in the elastic layer is aligned with the bore in the component. When the sleeve (1) is inserted into the bore (2a), the projection (1d) forms a passageway through the elastic layer, so that air and excess grout can escape from the bore through the elastic layer.
