摘要： Medical related quality of care information is extracted and edited for reporting. Patient records are mined. The mining may include mining unstructured data to create structured information. Measures are derived automatically from the structured information. A user may then edit the measures, data points used to derive the measures, or other quality metric based on expert review. The editing may allow for a better quality report. Tools may be provided to configure reports, allowing generation of new or different reports.

摘要： A method of identifying information in electronic medical records includes receiving one or more electronic medical records extracted from at least one source. Each of the one or more electronic medical records has medical information of at least one medical patient. The method also includes analyzing, via a processor, the medical information by comparing different portions of data in the medical information. The method further includes identifying, via the processor, at least one of: (i) the different portions of data in the medical information as inconsistent data; and (ii) the different portions of the data in the medical information as duplicate data.

摘要： The methods and apparatuses of the present invention provide for a continuous abstraction of randomly sampled patient data and shortened data processing cycle times when an accurate sample population size is unknown at the beginning of the sampling process. The present invention estimates an initial medical patient population size for the purpose of randomly sampling that population. The estimated population size is calculated based on historical patient population data and is corrected at the end of the sample time period. Under-sampling is remediated at the end of the sample time period, during which continuous sampling of the patient data is carried out to provide interim and immediately available sampled patient data. Criteria for medical patient population sizing and sampling are provided by health care organizations responsible for administrating health care quality improvement standards.

Quality may be regularly improved using a software product.
