摘要： A small-sized charged particle beam apparatus capable of maintaining high vacuum even during emission of an electron beam is provided. A nonevaporative getter pump is placed upstream of differential pumping of an electron optical system of the charged particle beam apparatus, and a minimum number of ion pumps are placed downstream, so that both the pumps are used in combination. Further, by mounting a detachable coil on an electron gun part, the inside of a column can be maintained under high vacuum with a degree of vacuum in the order of 10−8 Pa.

摘要： A small-sized charged particle beam apparatus capable of maintaining high vacuum even during emission of an electron beam is provided. 摘要： A method for closing a hole with a coating is provided. The method comprises attaching the subject body to an electric spark machine as a workpiece; bringing an electrode of a powder including an electrically conductive substance close to the subject body so as to lap the electrode over the hole; applying a voltage between the electrode and the subject body so as to generate electric discharge repetitiously to cause a coating closing the hole to grow from a periphery of the hole; and machining an edge of the hole before applying the voltage, or the coating along the edge of the hole during repetition of applying the voltage, to give a bevel.

If the recording process fails to end in a normal state, the salvage markers are detected from the recognition pattern contained in the salvage markers, and the file having the audio data and the video data belonging thereto is identified by the file identification information. 摘要： A method and apparatus for generating and editing audio and/or video data using thumbnail representations of the data. Thumbnail representations are generated in accordance with clips randomly recorded on a disc, or other storage medium, and edit points are designated for the clips. When thumbnail representations are displayed, the disc is rotated at constant angular velocity (CAV). Video data of the thumbnail representations are read from the disc. When a desired thumbnail representation is selected and designated, the disc drive system is switched from CAV drive mode to constant linear velocity (CLV) drive mode. Video are reproduced from the position of the selected thumbnail representations. Since the thumbnail representations are read in the CAV drive mode that is suitable for randomly accessing the disc, the thumbnail representations can be displayed at high speed.
