    • Method and apparatus for continuously electroplating wire or the like wherein two or more drums combine a power supply with a wire turn direction, each drum having a vertical and rotatable shaft, are provided; a wire or the like to be electroplated is wound on the drums in multiple stages so as to be run; an electroplating cell is positioned between the drums so that the wire to be electroplated is arranged to pass in and out of the electroplating cell in multiple stages and repeatedly; and, particularly, an end of the electroplating cell is provided with a slit for passage of the wire to be electroplated, the slit being provided with weir plates placed one on top of another such that the weir plates put each of wires in multiple stages running through the electroplating cell between upper and lower weir plates and passage holes for running the wires at multiple stages are formed at joints between individual weir plates.

    • A composite copper foil excellent in conductivity and surface shape, having high strength and able to be used for applications such as high frequency transmission circuits and a method of production of the same are provided. A composite copper foil characterized by having a copper foil on at least one surface of which a copper and/or silver smoothing layer is provided. Further, producing this by processing an ingot having a copper alloy to a foil having a desired thickness by rolling, then forming on at least one surface of the processed copper alloy foil a smoothing layer by copper plating and/or silver plating. Alternatively, producing this by processing an ingot having a copper alloy to a foil having a thickness of an intermediate size by rolling, forming on at least one surface of the foil a smoothing layer by copper plating and/or silver plating, then rolling the result to a foil having a desired thickness or applying heat treatment or applying heat treatment and rolling to thereby make the thickness of at least the copper and/or silver plating layer at the surface of the foil 0.01 μm or more. Further, a high frequency transmission circuit characterized by being prepared using the above composite copper foil or the composite copper foil produced by the above method of production.

    • According to one embodiment, a disk device includes a case having a bottom wall, a disk-shaped recording medium located in the case, a drive motor which is located in the case and supports and rotates the recording medium, a head which performs information processing for the recording medium, a head actuator, and an inertial latch mechanism which latches and holds the head actuator in a retracted position when an external force is subjected. The inertial latch mechanism is modularized and includes a base plate, a first pivot and a second pivot set up on the base plate, a latch arm supported for rocking motion around the first pivot, an inertial arm which is rockably supported on the second pivot, and a stopper portion which prevents the latch arm and the inertial arm from slipping off the first and second pivots.
