    • A brake caliper of a disc brake includes a housing with a bore, in which a piston is arranged in an axially displaceable fashion, a shaft for actuation, which is mounted in a rotatable and axially displaceable fashion, two ramp elements being rotatable in relation to each other, a readjusting device with a spindle, and an axial bearing that is active between the shaft and the spindle. A generic brake caliper of a disc brake includes components having a construction to withstand stress so that they are exposed to even, low stress without detrimental tension peaks. A toothing is provided on a circumference of the spindle, and a form-fit accommodation means for the toothing is provided. The accommodation means are unrotatably connected to the housing and secure the spindle against twisting. A calotte arrangement is also provided as an axial bearing, which comprises a calotte shell with a concavely curved surface and a calotte pivot with a convexly curved surface.

    • The present invention relates to an electromechanically actuated partially lined disk brake suitable both for realizing driving and parking brake functions. For this purpose, the partially lined disk brake comprises a brake caliper with an electromechanical actuating unit, by means of which the partially lined disk brake can be clamped by way of at least one interposed actuating element. The object of the invention is to achieve a compact design and a parking brake that can be actuated electrically. The brake caliper includes a multi-step reduction gear arranged between the integrated actuating unit and an actuating element. The actuating unit, reduction gear and actuating element are arranged in a recess of the brake caliper that is configured as a housing. According to the invention, the multi-step reduction gear is configured as a non-self-locking device, i.e. exhibits an overall efficiency of &eegr;>50%, and also is provided with an engageable freewheel, by means of which both driving and parking brake functions can be realized.

    • A damping bushing for a guide pin of a spot-type disc brake is disclosed, having an elastic pleated cup formed with a first end section fixed to a cylindrical body receiving the guide pin, and also formed with a second end section adapted to be assembled to a ring fixed to the guide pin. The ring has a recess which accepts a torus integral with the second end section. The torus (74) is formed with an outer large radius of curvature portion and an inner smaller radius of curvature portion which creates a cam shape. The larger radius portion allows a pleat of the second end section to force the torus over a cone shaped ring end and into the ring recess. The torus then is retained by the smaller radius portion engaging a corner of the recess.

    • A floating caliper-type disk brake for automotive vehicles, for supporting the circumferential forces and for guiding the brake pads including a brake carrier integrated into the steering knuckle of the vehicle. To insure a simple final assembly on the vehicle and to facilitate an automatic assembly, the floating caliper with brake pads attached thereto is supplied as a pre-assembled unit. The brake pads by means of leaf springs secured to their back plates are detachably fixed to the floating caliper. In the practice of the invention, the leaf spring of the outer brake pad, additionally serves to radially prestress the floating caliper vis-a-vis the carrier arms of the brake carrier, thereby eliminating another spring provided for this purpose. The assembly of the floating caliper on the vehicle is simplified because there is no need to assemble the said additional spring.
