摘要： The invention relates to an active plaster capable of applying electric current with a view to promoting a wound healing process in humans or animals based on the use of electrodes and electronics incorporated in a plaster which encapsulates the wound. It is moreover contemplated by the invention that the active plaster may contain electronics for measuring and indicating the wound stage. One or more diodes on the active plaster and/or on an external apparatus, which may be connected to the plaster, emit a green, yellow or red light and indicate which stage the wound is in, and thereby whether the plaster is to be changed. The measurements are based on the use of an apparatus with firmly integrated electrodes and electronics capable of applying current in the measurement object, such as for detecting the uptake of liquid in the tissue, determining the degree of ischemia and thereby determining the wound healing stage. The apparatus forming part of the invention is incorporated in a plaster which is adhered directly on top of the surface wound by a self-adhesive material, and which encapsulates the wound.

摘要： A method for modifying a rate of temperature change of an epoxy resin composition in a resin container during a resin casting process is proposed. The resin composition has at least one epoxy monomer component and a curing agent. A passivation agent for the curing agent is added to the epoxy resin composition. A resin container arrangement for use in such a resin transfer moulding process, a composite product having an epoxy resin composition, and a use of an organic acid in an epoxy resin casting process as a passivation agent for modifying the rate of temperature change in a resin container containing an epoxy resin composition are proposed.

摘要： Disclosed are novel methods for combatting diseases characterized by deposition of amyloid. The methods generally rely on immunization against amyloid precursor protien (APP) or beta amyloid (Aβ). Immunization is preferably effected by administration of analogues of autologous APP or Aβ, said analogues being capable of inducing antibody production against the autologous amyloidogenic polypeptides. Especially preferred as an immunogen is autologous Aβ which has been modified by introduction of one single or a few foreign, immunodominant and promiscuous T-cell epitopes. Also disclosed are nucleic acid vaccination against APP or Aβ and vaccination using live vaccines as well as methods and means useful for the vaccination. Such methods and means include methods for the preparation of analogues and pharmaceutical formulations, as well as nucleic acid fragments, vectors, transformed cells, polypeptides and pharmaceutical formulations.
