    • A high-efficiency liquid oxygen, (LOX) storage/delivery system utilizes a portable LOX/delivery apparatus with a portable LOX container. A portable-unit LOX transfer connector is connected to the portable LOX container and is connectable to a main source of LOX in a primary reservoir LOX container. A portable-unit oxygen gas transfer connector is provided for transferring oxygen gas from the portable LOX container to an oxygen gas delivery device for delivering oxygen gas to a patient. An inter-unit oxygen gas transfer connector also is provided for connecting the portable apparatus to a stationary source of oxygen gas in the primary reservoir container, for transferring oxygen gas to the portable apparatus. A portable-unit primary relief valve is connected to the portable LOX container for venting oxygen gas out of the portable LOX container when pressure in the portable LOX container reaches a predetermined level. When the inter-unit oxygen gas transfer connector of the portable container is connected to the stationary source of oxygen in the primary reservoir container, oxygen gas can be transferred to the oxygen gas delivery device for delivery to the patient from the portable LOX container while oxygen gas is transferred to the portable container from the stationary source of gas in the primary reservoir LOX container.

    • An apparatus is provided for controlling discharge of oxygen from an oxygen supply source to a patient. The apparatus includes an oxygen supply inlet, a pressure regulator coupled to the oxygen supply inlet and configured to reduce pressure of oxygen received from the oxygen supply inlet to a selected magnitude, a flow controller coupled to the pressure regulator and configured to meter oxygen received from the pressure regulator at a selected flow rate, and an oxygen distribution assembly including a pneumatic demand oxygen valve and a conduit conducting oxygen discharged from the flow controller through the pressure regulator to the pneumatic demand oxygen valve for delivery to a patient. The flow controller includes a chamber and a rotary valve for splitting oxygen discharged from the chamber into a first stream in an oxygen supply passageway for use by a patient and a second stream in a diaphragm supply passageway for controlling operation of pneumatic demand oxygen valve.

    • A delivery system for a medical device may include a sheath, a catheter slideably disposed within the sheath, and a hemostatic device comprising a housing disposed around and sealingly engaged with the sheath by a first seal. A sleeve is slideably coupled to the catheter and comprises a second seal sealingly engaging the catheter. The sleeve is movable between a first position, in which the sleeve is disposed outside of the housing and the first seal is sealingly engaged with an outer surface of the catheter, and a second position in which at least a portion of the sleeve is disposed within the housing between an inner surface of the housing and the outer surface of the catheter, wherein, in the second position, the first seal is sealingly engaged with an outer surface of the sleeve and the second seal is sealingly engaged with the outer surface of the catheter.

    • An oxygen-delivery system comprises a portable oxygen meter including a low-pressure oxygen inlet, a low-pressure oxygen outlet, and an exhale-inhale sensing port, an oxygen-supply source including a discharge outlet and configured to discharge low-pressure oxygen through the discharge outlet, a flexible supply tube arranged to conduct low-pressure oxygen from the oxygen-supply source into the portable oxygen meter through the low-pressure oxygen inlet, and a nasal cannula coupled to the low-pressure oxygen outlet and the exhale-inhale sensing port. The oxygen-delivery system further comprises a mount including a flange coupled to the portable oxygen meter and a clip adapted to be coupled to an item of clothing worn by the patient.
