摘要： A method is provided for forming a supported cyclopentadiene-type compound comprising contacting a cyclopentadiene-type compound containing an active halogen with an inorganic support having surface hydroxyl group. Also there is provided a method of preparing a supported metallocene comprising reacting the supported cyclopentadiene-type compound with a transition metal compound under suitable conditions. There is also provided a process for producing bridged cyclopentadiene-type ligands having a bridge having branch that has a terminal vinyl group. Also metallocenes of these ligands are provided. Still further there is provided a process for producing bridged cyclopentadiene-type ligands having a bridge having a branch that has a terminal active halogen. The resulting new ligands and supported metallocenes produced therefrom are also provided. There is further provided supported metallocene catalysts wherein at least two metallocenes of differing effectiveness are both bonded to an inorganic support having surface hydroxy groups. Olefin polymerization employing the inventive bridged supported metallocenes is also provided, as well the resulting polymer products.

摘要： A composition is provided comprising a metallocene having the formula of: ##STR1## wherein each Z can be the same or different hydrocarbyl radical selected from the group consisting of cyclopentadienyl, indenyl, tetrahydroindenyl, fluorenyl, and mixtures thereof; each X can be the same or different and is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, R, OR, NR.sub.2, PR.sub.2, or OQ, or mixtures thereof wherein the R is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 hydrocarbyl radical and Q is an inorganic moiety selected from the group consisting of silica, alumina, clay, phosphated alumina, and mixtures thereof; each Y can be the same or different and is an alkyl group, hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, or mixtures thereof; E is selected from C, Sn, Si, Ge, B, Al, N, or P; M is a metal selected from Ti, Zr, Hf, Sc, Y, V, or La; m is a number sufficient to fill out the valences of metal M; and n is 1 or 2. Also provided is a process for preparing the metallocene by contacting a hydrocarbon having an acidic, replaceable hydrogen with an organolithium and an organohalosilane to prepare a ligand which is then contacted with an organo alkali metal compound to form a bridged ligand followed by contacting the bridged ligand with an organolithium and a metal halide. The composition is useful for olefin polymerization, hydrogenation, alkene epoxidation, alkene isomerization, and ketone reduction.

摘要： In accordance with the present invention, there is provided an organoaluminoxy product prepared by the process comprising reacting an organoaluminoxane with an ene-ol compound. In another embodiment, the organoaluminoxane can be prepared in situ by the process comprising reacting a hydrocarbylaluminum compound, water, and the ene-ol compound. 摘要： Methods are disclosed for preparing a highly active solid metallocene-containing catalyst system and its use in the polymerization of olefins. The catalyst system is prepared by creating a catalyst system solution by combining an aluminoxane with a metallocene having a substituent which has olefinic unsaturation in a suitable liquid to form a liquid catalyst system, conducting prepolymerization of an olefin in the liquid catalyst system, and separating the resulting solid metallocene-containing catalyst system from the reaction mixture. Also polymerization of olefins using the inventive solid catalyst system is disclosed.

摘要： The present invention provides polymers of ethylene having ethyl branches, a narrow molecular weight distribution, no substantial amount of branches longer than any comonomer employed in the polymerization, and an unusually low branching to density ratio. In one embodiment the polyethylenes are substantially free of any branches having more than 2 carbon atoms, i.e. ethyl branches, and the molar percent of ethyl branches is substantially the same for molecular fractions across the molecular weight distribution. In another embodiment the polyethylenes have other branches having 3 or more carbons and the molar percent of the ethyl branches is substantially the same for molecular fractions across the molecular weight distribution.

摘要： Polymeric ligands, polymeric metallocenes, and processes for preparing same are provided. The process for preparing polymeric metallocenes comprises reacting a polymeric ligand, a transition metal compound, and an alkali metal compound. In one embodiment, a process for preparing polymeric ligands comprises reacting at least one bridged cyclopentadienyl-type monomer and an initiator under polymerization conditions. In another embodiment, a polymeric ligand is represented by the formula [Q′]n, wherein Q′ is a unit containing at least one bridged cyclopentadienyl-type group and wherein n is 1-5000. In another embodiment, a polymeric metallocene is represented by the formula [Q″MXm]n, wherein Q″ is a unit containing at least one fluorenyl-type group, M is a transition metal, each X is individually a hydrocarbyl group containing 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group containing 1 to 12 carbon atoms, an aryloxy group containing 6 to 20 carbon atoms, a halide, or hydride, m is 2 or 3, and wherein n is 1-5000. Other aspects of the present invention include a catalyst system comprising the polymeric metallocene and an organoaluminoxane, a method for preparing same, and a polymerization process employing the catalyst system.

摘要： A polymer bound ligand represented by the formula QM(R).sub.m and process for preparing same are provided, wherein Q is a polystyrene, M is Si, C, Ge, Sn, P, or N, each R is a that at least one R is a cyclopentadienyl-type compound, and m is 2 or 3, said process comprising reacting a metallated polystyrene and an organohalide compound, wherein the polystyrene is metallated with an alkali metal, and wherein said organohalide compound is represented by the formula XM(R).sub.m wherein X is a halide. Other aspects of the present invention include a polymer bound metallocene represented by the formula QM(R).sub.m ZY.sub.n and a process for preparing same, wherein Z is a transition metal, Y is a halide, methyl, hydrogen, or a cyclopentadienyl-type group, and n is 2 or 3. Other aspects of the present invention include a catalyst system comprising the polymer bound metallocene and an organoaluminoxane, a method for preparing same, and a polymerization process employing the catalyst system.
