摘要： A process for producing a mixture comprising tertiary isononanoic acids proceeding from 2-ethylhexanol is characterized in that 2-ethylhexanol is (a) reacted at a temperature of 0° C. to 40° C. with a mixture of concentrated formic acid and a concentrated Brønsted acid, wherein 2 to 10 mol of formic acid are used per mole of 2-ethylhexanol and the concentrated Brønsted acid is used in an amount that corresponds to 6 to 90 mol of protons per mole of 2-ethylhexanol. The resulting reaction mixture from step (a) is subsequently (b) brought into contact with water, and the mixture comprising tertiary isononanoic acids formed according to step b) is removed.

摘要： The invention relates to a process for the production of 5-formylvaleric acid and adipic acid or esters thereof from an isomeric mixture of pentenoic acid or esters thereof said mixture comprising at least 4-pentenoic acid or esters thereof, and further comprising 3-pentenoic acid and/or 2-pentenoic acid or esters thereof.The process allows for efficient production of two different intermediates for producing polyamide using a single process, with good selectivity, little waste, in an economically efficient fashion. The process is very suitable to use an isomeric pentenoic acid mixture obtained from valerolactone, and can be used to produce renewable polyamide intermediates using a single process.

In one embodiment of the method according to the present invention for synthesis of keto acids, acetylene-carboxylic acids is hydrated in the presence of a metal salt represented by General Formula (1), where M1 represents an element in Group VIII, IX, or X of the periodic table, and X1, X2, or X3 ligand represents halogen, H2O, or a solvent molecule, and k represents a valence of a cation species, and Y represents an anion species, and L represents a valence of the anion species, and each of K and L independently represents 1 or 2, and k×m=L×n.

The invention concerns the use of dirhodium (II,II) “paddlewheel complexes, and in particular, dirhodium carboximate and tert-butyl hydroperoxide as catalysts for the reaction. The use of aqueous conditions is particularly advantageous in the allylic oxidation of 7-keto steroids, which could not be effectively oxidized using anhydrous methods, and in extending allylic oxidation to enamides and enol ethers.

摘要： The present invention relates to a novel process for the production of [2-(4-fluoro-benzyl)-phenyl]-acetic acid, a compound obtainable from phthalic anhydride. The process comprises the subsequent steps a) through e): a) reacting phthalic anhydride with fluorobenzene or a derivative thereof in appropriate reaction conditions; b) over reducing the product obtained in step a) at the ketone moiety; c) reducing the product obtained in step b) with sodium dihydro-bis(2-methoxyethoxy)aluminate (Red-Al) to the corresponding alcohol; d) chlorinating the alcohol obtained in step c); e) inserting CO into the product obtained in step d) through an appropriate Pd-containing catalytic system. In an alternative embodiment, the step e) is replaced by the steps f1) and f2): f1) reacting the product obtained in step d) with sodium cyanide; f2) hydrolysing the product obtained in step f1). The present invention provides a process for the production of [2-(4-fluoro-benzyl)-phenyl]-acetic acid which is suitable for industrial scale reactors (e.g. which is cleaner and more efficient). Also, [2-(4-fluoro-benzyl)-phenyl]-acetic acid is obtained as a crystalline material with a purity >95%.
