    • In a gas scavenging unit for gas chromatography analysis of gas generated in a thermal analyzer, the thermal analyser is equipped with a gas scavenging unit for scavenging gas generated in the thermal analyzer without usage of a carrier gas and no influence of a switching valve exists in the case of multi-stage sampling. For scavenging, there can be provided multiple sampling flow paths each have an aperture placed between the sample and the carrier gas outlet of the thermal analyzer, a flow regulator, a flow path switching valve, and a suction unit which is connected to the switching valve. The gas generated in the thermal analyzer is suctioned by the suction unit through a sampling flow path which is changed with the flow path switching valve. The appropriate volume of gas is scavenged to the GC analysis without any influence of the flow (rate) of the carrier gas even when the scavenging is done through switching to multiple scavengers.

    • A headrest of the type inclinable fore-and-aft with respect to a headrest stay upon a seat, which includes a trim cover assembly having an opening formed at one side thereof, and includes an inclination mechanism connected to the headrest stay within the trim cover assembly.     • A headrest with a moveable headrest stay, which comprises a trim cover assembly of three-dimensional configuration and a foam padding filled in the trim cover assembly together with a part of the headrest stay. The trim cover assembly includes a first extension and a second extension, both which are folded and joined together to project inwardly thereof, with a though-opening area defined therebetween, wherein the through-opening has one side opened outwardly of the trim cover assembly and another side opened inwardly of the same. The first extensions has a region longer than the second extension, with a slit formed in that region. This particular region is folded over the second extension and fixed thereto, thereby sealing the afore-said another side of the through-opening.     • A method for forming a trim cover assembly of a donut-like headrest for use on a vehicle seat. A reversed first cover unit is provided, which has been formed in a reversed state, with its reverse side exposed outwardly, and which is of a generally inverted-U-shaped configuration having a pair of outward openings defined at one side thereof and a pair of inward openings defined inwardly thereof. This reversed first cover unit is turned over into a normal state, with its outer side exposed outwardly. Then, a second cover unit is sewn with such pair of inward openings of said first cover unit, such as to provide an opened side, so that an annular opening is defined by, and along all the foregoing pair of outward openings of said first cover unit and that opened side of said second cover unit. Thereafter, a third cover unit is sewn, at its peripheral end, with and along the thus-defined annular opening of first and second cover units, whereby a donut-like trim cover assembly is produced. In this way, it is easy to accurately sew the cover units together to provide a good constant shape and quality of a resultant trim cover assembly of a donut-like headrest.

    • A method for sewing together covering elements is provided, in which two first threads and a second thread are used in a sewing machine having sewing needle means. In operating the sewing machine, the covering elements are fed at a given feeding pitch, such that the two first threads are entwined about the second thread in each of needle holes formed by the sewing needle means in the covering elements. Those entwined three threads fill and close the needle hole, thereby preventing leakage of a liquid foaming agent at a foaming process for forming a foamed product integral with the covering elements. The sewing needle means may comprise one sewing needle, in which case, both two first threads are used in that one sewing needle, or alternatively may comprises two sewing needles, in which case, the two first sewing threads are respectively used in the two sewing needles.
