    • A weather strip for a sliding type rear door is applied to a car which is unfurnished with a center pillar, and is furnished with a front door turnable about hinges provided at the front end thereof and with a sliding rear door which slides back and forth. The weather strip is attached to the front end of the rear door and includes a tapered lip portion extending toward the front door. The tapered lip portion is formed on a molded portion of the weather strip formed at the upper end portion thereof. The tapered portion elastically contacts an opening seal attached to a roof side of a car body and a weather strip attached to a rear end of the front door when the rear door is closed. A guide portion is formed at the lower half of the lip portion. The guide portion is thicker than the lip portion, and it contacts the opening seal and the front door weather strip immediately before the tip end of the tapered lip portion contacts the opening seal and the front door weather strip. Thus, the tip end of the lip portion is prevented from being reversed or curled up when the rear door is closed.

    • A seismic isolation apparatus is structured such that a pair of seismic isolation mechanisms are formed each having a pair of upper and lower clamping members formed in the shape of a rectangular frame, wherein upper and lower roller guide surfaces, in each of which a longitudinal central portion is formed as a concavely arcuate curved surface and portions respectively extending therefrom are formed as convexly arcuate curved surfaces, are formed on the four sides of the upper and lower clamping members, and wherein rollers each having a circular cross section are respectively interposed between the upper and lower roller guide surfaces. During the occurrence of an earthquake, the rollers are adapted to roll in contact with the upper and lower roller guide surfaces so as to absorb and dampen seismic waves in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the apparatus.

    • A recording circuit for a video tape recorder which records superposedly a frequency-modulated audio signal with a frequency-modulated luminance signal and a carrier color signal converted to a low frequency band records a carrier wave signal which is frequency-modulated by the luminance signal at a substantially constant recording current within the frequency range corresponding to a range from the sync signal leading edge to the white peak. In an ordinary recording circuit, the extent of erasure of the recorded audio signal varies with the content of the frequency-modulated luminance signal when the luminance signal is recorded on the recording track of the frequency-modulated audio signal, because recording is made by increasing a recording current for a signal having an instantaneous frequency which is low. Therefore, the recorded signal which is frequency-modulated by the audio signal is amplitude-modulated by the luminance signal, and interference with the audio signal due to the change of S/N corresponding to the change of the amplitude occurs. In the recording circuit of the present invention, however, no interference is applied to the audio signal because the extent of erasure of the recorded audio signal by the luminance signal remains substantially constant irrespective of the content of the luminance signal.
