摘要： A process for producing polyamide-polyamide-acid copolymers having an inherent viscosity of from 0.1 to 2.5 and cyclized derivatives thereof is disclosed, which process comprises reacting a polyamide-acid block having an average molecular weight of from 750 to 20,000 with a dicarboxylic acid dichloride and a diamine. The resultant polyamide-polyamide-acid copolymers are distinguished by good processing characteristics as well as good electrical, thermal and/or mechanical properties.

摘要： New crosslinked polyamides, polyimides and polyamide-imides, containing siloxane groups, are described, which are obtainable by heating silicon-modified polyamide, polyamide-acid and polyamide-amide-acid prepolymers in the presence of silanediols or siloxanediols to temperatures between 50.degree. and 350.degree.C. The crosslinked polymers, containing siloxane groups, according to the invention are distinguished by good mechanical, thermal and electrical properties.

摘要： The present invention relates to new compositions and methods for the regulation of plant growth, especially for fruit abscission, acceleration of ripening and latex discharge and to new active substances of the class of .beta.-halogenoethyl-methyl-silanes.The active substances in the new compositions respond to the formula ##STR1## wherein X is chlorine or bromine, each of the radicals R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently represent substituted or unsubstituted alkyl radicals, alkenyl, halogenalkenyl, alkynyl and cycloalkyl radicals, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl and benzyl radicals; one or each of the symbols R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 can also represent the group --COR.sub.3 wherein R.sub.3 stands for an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl or alkenyl radical, a possible phenyl substituent being itself substituted or not, for an alkynyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkoxycarbonylalkyl, benzoylalkyl or phenyl radical the latter being optionally substituted or for a heterocyclic radical; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, also with the signification of --COR.sub.3 can also form together with the adjacent atoms a silicon-containing heterocyclic ring system.The .beta.-bromoethyl-methyl-silanes (X=Br) of the above formula and all those .beta.-chloroethyl-methyl-silanes (X=Cl) wherein not both radicals R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 represent the methyl group, are new compounds.

摘要： An ophthalmic lens suited for extended-wear periods of at least one day on the eye without a clinically significant amount of corneal swelling and without substantial wearer discomfort. The lens has a balance of oxygen permeability and ion or water permeability, with the ion or water permeability being sufficient to provide good on-eye movement, such that a good tear exchange occurs between the lens and the eye. A preferred lens is a copolymerization product of a oxyperm macromer and an ionoperm monomer. The invention encompasses extended wear contact lenses, which include a core having oxygen transmission and ion transmission pathways extending from the inner surface to the outer surface.
