    • This invention relates to a perfectly or partially crosslinked olefinic thermoplastic elastomer composition which comprises 10 to 90 parts by weight of a crystalline polyolefin (a), 90 to 10 parts by weight of an olefin-based copolymer rubber (b) (the total amount of the components (a) and (b) being 100 parts by weight) and 3 to 100 parts by weight of a paraffinic mineral oil softening agent (c) having an evaporation loss of 0.4% by weight or less at a condition of 200° C., atmospheric pressure and 1 hour and having a kinetic viscosity (40° C.) of 50 to 250 cSt; an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer composition which is obtainable by subjecting a mixture including 40 to 85 parts by weight of an ethylene-based copolymer rubber (A), 60 to 15 parts by weight of an olefinic resin (B) and 45 parts by weight or less of a softening agent (C) [the total amount of the components (A), (B) and (C) being 100 parts by weight] to dynamic heat treatment in the presence of a crossliking agent and which has a gloss value of 80% or more and a haze value of 10% or less on glass plate when subjected to the fogging test at a condition of 100° C. and 3 hours according to the prescription of A method of DIN 75201; and a manufacturing method and use of the compositions.

    • A thermoplastic elastomer based on olefin which can be produced simply by melt-kneading 5-60% by weight of a polyethylene resin (A) together with 40-95% by weight of an ethylene/&agr;-olefin copolymer (B) with optional subsidiary component(s) before the kneaded mass is molded into a formed product, the said elastomer being capable of recycling for reclamation and exhibiting the following characteristics {circle around (1)} to {circle around (3)} namnely, 9≦Y−0.43 X≦27  (1) {circle around (1)} in which X denotes the JIS A-hardness value (a dimensionless value) of the thermoplastic elastomer based on olefin determined according to the prescription of JIS K 6301 and Y represents the permanent compressive strain value (expressed by %) of the thermoplastic elastomer based on olefin determined according to the prescription of JIS K 6301 under a condition of 70° C.×22 hours, {circle around (2)} tensile strength in the raqnge from 5 to 30 MPa and {circle around (3)} a permanent elongation of 18% or less determined according to the prescription of JIS K 6301.

    • A multilayered molding is disclosed, which has a base molding outer layer mainly composed of a partial crosslinking type substance A obtained from polyolefin resin and ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber or a mixture B of polyolefin resin and ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber or both. The outermost layer is in direct contact with and forms a lamination with an inner intermediate layer or a base molding composed of a polyethylene resin, for instance, and is firmly bonded to the outermost layer. A method of manufacturing such multilayered molding is also disclosed, in which a composite sheet of the thermoplastic elastomer with or without the intermediate layer is preliminarily heated, followed by being suction held in close contact with a mold cavity inner surface, thus forming a surface layer. The mold is then clamped, and fluidized and plasticized polyolefin resin is injected to produce the molding. The polyolefin resin may also be injected prior to the clamping.
