    • The present invention relates to an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer composition which comprises a crystalline polyolefin resin (A), an ethylene-&agr;-olefin-non-conjugated polyene copolymer rubber (B) and at least on rubber (C) selected from polyisobutylene, butyl rubber and a propylene-ethylene copolymer rubber having a propylene content of 50 mol % or more or an ethylene-&agr;-olefin copolymer (D) having a density of 0.870 to 0.940 (g/cm3) and an ethylene content of 85 mol % or more, said ethylene-&agr;-olefin-non-conjugated polyene copolymer rubber (B) being crosslinked thermoplastic elastomer composition, being obtained by random copolymerization of ethylene, and &agr;-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms and a non-conjugated polyene in the presence of a metallocene catalyst, (1) containing the unit (a) derived from the ethylene and the unit (b) derived from the &agr;-olefin in a molar ratio of 40/60 to 95/5 [(a)/(b)], (2) having an iodine value of 1 to 50 and (3) having an intrinsic viscosity [&eegr;] measured in decalin at 135° C. of 1.0 to 10 dl/g; and relates to a method for manufacturing the same.

    • A glass run channel comprising a glass run channel body composed of a bottom wall and side walls extending from two opposite edges of the bottom wall, the glass run channel body having a substantially U-shaped section and provided with a groove, and tonguelike draining parts protruding from vicinities of distal edges of the side walls toward the bottom wall of the glass run channel body so as to become proximate to each other. Each of the tonguelike draining parts has a window glass contact part composed of a surface to be brought into contact with a window glass, which comprises a layer of a thermoplastic elastomer and a layer of an ultrahigh molecular weight polyolefin composition. The layer of ultrahigh molecular weight polyolefin composition is arranged so as to contact a window glass. The ultrahigh molecular weight polyolefin composition comprises at least a polyolefin (composition) having a specified intrinsic viscosity and an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer. The glass run channel is excellent in the durability, tight contactability with a window glass exhibited when the window glass is held closed and supple slide exhibited when a window glass is closed or opened and, even when twisted or bent, is free from a creasing of the ultrahigh molecular weight polyolefin composition layer.

    • The present invention relates to an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer composition obtainable by dynamically heat treating 5 to 50 parts by weight of a polypropylene resin (A) and 50 to 95 parts by weight of an &agr;-olefinic copolymer (B) having a Mooney viscosity ML1+4 (100° C.) of 60 to 250 in the absence of a crosslinking agent. The olefinic thermoplastic elastomer composition is characterized in that the glass transition temperature (Tg) in dynamic visco-elasticity measurement derived from the polypropylene resin (A) is lower than that of the polypropylene resin (A) itself and that the &agr;-olefinic copolymer (B) is at least one selected from the following (b-1) and (b-2): (b-1) ethylene-&agr;-olefinic copolymers which have an ethylene content of 51 to 60 mol % to the total amount of the ethylene-&agr;-olefinic copolymer-constituting ethylene and &agr;-olefin other than ethylene, (b-2) propylene-&agr;-olefinic copolymers which have a propylene content of 60 to 90 mol % to the total amount of the ethylene-&agr;-olefinic copolymer-constituting propylene and &agr;-olefin other than propylene.
