    • The present invention proposes an apparatus for loading and unloading wafers to and from the semiconductor fabrication equipment. The present invention uses two U-shaped port plate supporters of high rigidity to respectively join with drive devices such as lead screws, shaft bearings, and a lead device, and then join with components such as a port plate, a port door, and a base. The assembly is driven by a motor via timing pulleys, timing belts, idle wheels, a pair of lead screws, shaft bearings, and a lead device. An encoder is matched for feedback control. Thereby, accurate positioning of the main mechanism of the wafer pod responsible for upward and downward movement can be achieved so as to increase the accuracy and reliability of positioning transfer of wafers. Secondarily, the contamination of particles resulted from the motion of the main mechanism can be reduced by using an intake filtering system. Because the present invention adopts a modular design, the drive source of each unit is isolated and the circuit of each unit is hidden so that the whole structure is most compact and the assembling/disassembling and maintenance are easier.

    • A memory access interface for connecting a memory to a micro-controller having an address/data multiplexing bus and a microprocessor is proposed. The memory access interface includes an address latch, a multiplexer, and a data buffer. The address latch latches and outputs the lower-bit address signal on the address/data multiplexing bus of the micro-controller when an address-latch-enable signal is enabled. The multiplexer receives the lower-bit address signal latched by the address latch, a higher-bit address signal outputted from the micro-controller, and an address signal outputted from the microprocessor and selectively outputs the address signal of the micro-controller or the address signal of the microprocessor as the address signal of the memory according to a first control signal. The data buffer transmits the signal of the data bus of the memory to the address/data multiplexing bus of the micro-controller during a data cycle of the micro-controller, and maintains a high impedance state during an address cycle of the micro-controller.

    • A multiple weighing apparatus with dual acting hopper gates mechanism comprises a feeding device conveying articles to be weighed and packed to a weighing section of the apparatus. The articles which are transferred into the weighing section are weighed and a portion of which having a desired weight is then allowed to move into a packing section to be packed therein. Each pack of the articles will have a desired weight. The weighing section comprises a plurality of pool hoppers and weighing hoppers controlled by a central controller. Each of the hoppers comprises a body having therein a space for receiving the articles and a discharge port closable by two gates. A Stephenson III type six-bar mechanism is adapted to operate the gates with the gates being the output links thereof. A pushing rod which is controlled by the central controller is used to move the input link of the six-bar mechanism to open the gates. A returning spring is provided in ,such a way that when the gates are opened, potential energy is stored therein and when the pushing rod is retracted back, the potential energy of the spring is released to move the gates back to the closed position.
