    • A cleaning apparatus for use in pickling facilities for tubular members such as zirconium or zirconium alloy tubes. The apparatus includes a travelling crane for conveying and loading the tubular members from one cleaning tank to another, a pair of endless wrapping connectors such as endless chains spacedly and circulatably provided in at least one tank, for example, in a first cleaning tank filled with slightly warm water below the level of its cleaning fluid, and a plurality of feed claws provided with an interval therebetween on each of the endless wrapping connectors along the length of the same so as to prevent the tubular members from contacting one another during cleaning treatment. Thus, development of stain or physical damage such as scratches or dents is eliminated or minimized. It is possible to tentatively stock the tubular members on the endless wrapping connectors so as to perform a smooth and continuous pickling and cleaning operation of such tubular members.

    • Providing an electrolytic integrated polishing method for metal workpieces using a special abrasive material which leaves no residual abrasive grains on surfaces of soft metals such as aluminium, and the like, and allows high-precision abrasion for optimal surface treatments such as an anodized aluminium finish at the next process. The electrolytic integrated polishing device performs rough abrasion and medium abrasion processes to the inner surface of an aluminium cylindrical workpiece by an elastic grindstone. Thereafter, the electrolytic integrated polishing device uses a sheet-form abrasive material for finishing abrasion. The sheet-form abrasive material is prepared by uniformly dispersing, short fibers including abrasive grains which is prepared by cutting an abrasion grains containing fiber into a specified length and synthetic fibers as a base material, processing them into a sheet, and hardening it with a thermosetting resin such as a polyurethane resin, an epoxy resin, and the like as an adhesive material. A plurality of these sheet-form abrasive materials are piled and are mounted on the holder through the aid of a spring plate for buckling prevention to compose the special abrasive material.

    • To provide an electrolytic integrated polishing method for the external surface of metallic tubes, wherein both dimensional precision such as roundness or the like and product yield can be improved, and aluminum alloy photosensitive drum substrates prepared thereby. A metallic tube, both ends of which are supported, is positively charged and rapidly rotated about the axis thereof. More than one grindstone are pressed with a constant pressure against the external surface of the metallic tube from opposite directions or radial directions having the rotation axis as the center of rotation. Negative pole electrodes are disposed so as to sandwich the grindstones along a circular direction to perform electrolytic integrated polishing by supplying electrolyte to the external surface of the metallic tube. High-precision mirror processing of the external surface of the metallic tube can be performed by an integrating abrasion effect for eliminating a passivation coating formed on the external surface of the metallic tube by the grindstones and intensive electrolytic elution by the electrolyte.
