摘要： A sensor can include a conductive region in electrical communication with at least two electrodes, the conductive region can include a composite of a polymer and SWCNTs immobilized onto a substrate. In certain embodiment, a linker can be grafted on the substrate. The linker can connect the substrate and the composite of the polymer and SWCNTs. In certain embodiments, the linker can covalently bond the polymer to the substrate. In certain embodiments, metal nanoparticles or ions can be incorporated as a metal sensitizer to confer further selectivity or sensitivity to the device. In certain embodiments, the polymer can act as a ligand for a variety of metal ions. By incorporating a specific metal ion, the sensor can selectively detect a specific analyte. In certain embodiments, the composite of the polymer and SWCNTs can be functionalized. In certain embodiments, the composite can further include a sensing element.

摘要： The present invention relates conductive nanostructured copolymer materials, such as thin film. In particular, the nanostructured copolymer material comprises plurality of chains substantially parallel to each other, each conductive chain comprising a plurality of conductive polyacetylene polymer blocks positioned along the chain and a plurality of polar poly(vinyl alcohol) polymer blocks in between the polyacetylene polymer blocks to form a pattern of alternatively repeating polyacetylene polymer blocks and poly(vinyl alcohol) polymer blocks and a ratio of polyacetylene polymer to poly(vinyl alcohol) polymer to provide the nanostructured copolymer material with conductivity of at least 1 S/cm. In some aspects, the invention relates to photoelectric devices comprising a nanostructured copolymer material and capable to convert light to electrical current.

摘要： An intrinsically conductive polymer is in the form of a dispersible solid of primary particles with a specific surface area according to BET of >15 m.sup.2 /g and with an average diameter of less than 500 nm, in which preferably not more than 20% of aggregates with an average size >1 .mu.m are present in the particle size range >500 nm. For the manufacture of the polymer the polymerization is carried out in a solvent in which the appropriate monomer is soluble or colloidally dispersible, but in which the polymer that is formed is insoluble, whereby the temperature of the reaction mixture is not allowed to rise more than 5.degree. C. above the starting temperature.

摘要： Acetylene can be polymerized into a polyacetylene by a solid-state polymerization reaction when it is compressed into a solid under a high pressure of, for example, 1 GPa or higher. The polyacetylene product is obtained in a bulky transparent form in contrast to conventional polyacetylenes in a fibrous form prepared by utilizing a Ziegler-Natta catalyst, and free from impurities because neither catalyst nor solvent is used in the reaction.
