    • A portable, operator-carried power tool having an implement supported on frame, and a lightweight, four-stroke, engine drivably connected to the implement. The engine has a crankshaft situated in a crankshaft housing and a cylinder block secured to the housing, the crankshaft being provided with a crankcase ventilation passage extending between the crankcase and an outlet end in communication with an air/fuel induction passage. A passage establishes communication between the interior of the crankcase and the valve chamber through a cam and cam gear region of the cylinder block. An oil mist generator is connected drivably to the crankshaft for agitating liquid oil in the crankcase to establish a lubricating oil mist. The crankcase, cam region and valve chamber form a containment whereby oil mist is distributed throughout the engine during operation regardless of angular orientation.

    • An air intake plenum (88)of a truck sleeper box (18) is disclosed. The plenum (88)is in fluid communication with an aperture (98) that penetrates through a peripheral wall (58) of the sleeper box (18), thereby providing fresh air (46) to the plenum (88). The plenum includes an enclosure (86) and a fresh air inlet (70) that is in fluid communication with an interior of the enclosure (86) and the aperture (98). The plenum also includes a recirculated air inlet (68) in fluid communication with the interior of the enclosure (86) and the air contained within the sleeper box (18). The plenum further includes an air outlet (52) in fluid communication with the inlets (68 and 70). The air outlet (52) is adaptable to be in fluid communication with a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. Additionally, a method for providing fresh air to a sleeper box is disclosed.

    • An arithmetic logic unit is disclosed herein which overcomes problems in the art discussed above. In accordance with the present invention, an ALU includes a plurality of individual programmable logic units which selectively implement arithmetic, logic, and equality comparison operations. One bit of each of two or more input signals is provided to respective ones of the logic units. One of a plurality of function signals, each of which being set equal to the truth table for a particular arithmetic, logic, or equality operation, is selectably provided to each of the logic units. Each of the logic units multiplexes the function signal provided thereto according to the particular bits of the input signals received therein to generate first and second output signals. These first and second output signals provided by each of the logic units are combined in an adder such that the resulting bit pattern represents the selected arithmetic, logic, or equality operation of the two or more input signals.
