    • An apparatus, such as a camera, comprises a plurality of operation mechanisms, a first rotation member, such as a sun gear, rotatable by operation of a motor, a second rotation member, such as a planetary gear which revolves around the sun gear, and a plurality of force transmitting members, such as output gears, each capable of meshing with the planetary gear by revolution of the planetary gear around the sun gear, where the plurality of output gears transmit power to the plurality of operation mechanisms, respectively, and a limiting structure, e.g., a stopper that limits revolution of the planetary gear around the sun gear. In one aspect, the limiting structure limits the revolution of the planetary gear at a revolution position where the planetary gear does not mesh with any of the plurality of output gears, and a position of the planetary gear during revolution thereof is determined on the basis of the position where revolution of the planetary gear is limited by the limiting structure, e.g., by determining an amount of revolution of the planetary gear relative to the position where the revolution of the planetary gear is limited by the limiting structure.

    • The reversing mechanism (10, 200) for the motor drive comprises an electric motor (39) which drives a shaft (41) having mounted thereon a first gear (44) and a shifting mechanism in the form of a flywheel (100). The first gear (44) engages a second gear (37) which engages a third gear (38), the second (37) and third (38) gears being mounted upon a carrier mechanism (12) and each engageable with a driven gear (31). The carrier mechanism (12) is engaged by a cam mechanism (60). The shifting mechanism (100) engages an axial mechanism (70) which when displaced by the shifting mechanism (100) causes the cam mechanism (60) to rotate. Rotation of the cam mechanism (60) causes displacement of the carrier mechanism (12) so that one of said second (37) and third (38) gears disengages the driven gear (31) and the other of the second (37) and third (38) gears engages the driven gear (31) in order to effect a reverse direction of rotation of the driven gear (31) when the motor (39) recommences operation. The reversing mechanism (10, 200) may be utilized in an electrically actuated parking brake system.

    • In a multiple-step gear drive there are two stationary toothed wheels, comprising a driving wheel and a driven wheel. Their spacing and positions remain constant as the housing that supports gear trains is rotated. For each gear step or position there is a gear train. Each train comprising one or several gear-wheels and in engagement with each other, all these gear-wheels being rotatably jounalled in a housing. The housing is movable substantially parallel to a plane running perpendicular to the shafts of the stationary toothed wheels, to be brought into a specific engagement position for each gear step in which the gear train is in engagement with both stationary toothed wheels. The housing and gear wheels are thus arranged so that in at least one gear step the housing can be disengaged from its engaged position in two substantially opposite directions, thus moving the corresponding gear train in the selected direction and thereby breaking the driving connection between the two stationary toothed wheels.

    • In an agricultural attachment, a gearing arrangement is provided to connect a driven gear in the attachment to a power take-off connection on a tractor. The gearing arrangment includes drive gears spaced laterally apart, each of a different size, and each mounted on a different shaft. The drive gear shafts are disposed in spaced parallel relation to the shaft on which the driven gear is positioned. The drive gears are mounted in a casing formed by two half shells and can be swung through an arc about the axis of the shaft of the driven gear for affording an optimum connection to the power take-off connection of the tractor.
