    • A drive switching mechanism includes first to third transmission element trains, a connection/disconnection element disposed at one of a position between the first and second transmission element trains and a position in the third transmission element train, and a rotation restraining element disposed at the other of the positions. When a drive transmission path is disconnected by the connection/disconnection element, the rotation restraining element is drivenly rotated on the basis of a driving force transmitted from the first transmission element train and selects a drive transmission path that is different from the drive transmission path disconnected by the connection/disconnection element. When the drive transmission path is connected by the connection/disconnection element, the rotation restraining element stops being drivenly rotated on the basis of driving forces transmitted from the first and second transmission element trains and selects the drive transmission path connected by the connection/disconnection element.

    • A power transmission apparatus and an image forming apparatus are provided. The power transmission apparatus of transmitting driving power to first and second movable members includes a driving unit which receives the driving power from a driving power source, and which rotates in forward and backward directions, a first driven unit which transmits the driving power to the first movable member, an elastic clutch which is provided between the driving unit and the first driven unit to selectively allow the driving power from the driving unit to be conveyed to the first driven unit based on the direction of the driving power, and a second driven unit to convey the driving power to the second movable member regardless of the direction of the driving power so as to allow the second movable member to rotate bi-directionally.     • A motorization mechanism for a wheel of a landing gear assembly, including an input gear driven by a motor-reducer unit; a pendulum element, carrying two intermediate gear wheels driven in rotation by this element, with the intermediate gear wheels having synchronized rotation blocking mechanisms such that the two intermediate gear wheels can be simultaneously engaged or simultaneously released. The angular displacement of the pendulum element around its rotation axis is limited by a first and a second adjustable stop. These adjustable stops are set so that when the pendulum element comes into contact with an adjustable stop, the blocking mechanism of the intermediate gear wheels is freed, whereas it is engaged when the pendulum element is in the neutral position. This pendulum assembly faces a cog wheel that is capable of driving the hub of the said wheel.

    • A rotary developing apparatus having a plurality of developing devices mounted along the outer periphery of a cylindrical rotary unit. A first gear train for connecting the rotary unit to a drive source to rotate the rotary unit.
