Self-crosslinking polyurethane polymers prepared as described above can be used in paint, varnish or adhesive compositions.

C. and a 90% relative humidity gradient. Adhesives of these polymers possess a peel adhesion to human skin of between about 0.3 and 4 newtons/cm width of the polymer or adhesive.

摘要： This invention relates to novel polyurethane prepolymers which consist essentially of the reaction product of a polyoxyalkylene polyol having a critical oxyethylene content and an isocyanate constituent, the reaction product having a defined level of free NCO. Particularly useful prepolymers are produced using a tolylene diisocyanate residue. The prepolymers provided have outstanding utility for rebonding polyurethane foams for applications such as, for example, carpet underlays and allow significant reductions in the adhesive level used in forming such rebonded foams and in the demolding cure times in comparison with presently used prepolymer adhesives. The prepolymers are also useful for applications in which polyurethane prepolymers are used presently such as, for example, in hydrophilic foams.

摘要： A dried, partially cured, heat-activatable preformed adhesive film is provided in which the adhesive composition comprises in admixture a hydroxyl terminated polyurethane-polyester and a component having available free isocyanate groups. The partially cured adhesive film can be used in the splicing of coated abrasive ends together as in the formation of endless belts. Interposed between two coated abrasive ends to be joined together, the partially cured adhesive film can be further heated at relatively low temperatures whereby on being subjected to pressure it will flow into intimate contact with the surfaces to be joined. Thus, one is able to form endless belts from a wide variety of coated abrasive materials.
