    • A seal device for a shaft rotating with respect to a housing comprises a rotating seal ring having opposite radial side surfaces and a circumferential end surface. The rotating seal ring is connected for co-rotation with the shaft. A non-rotating seal ring is non-rotatably connected to the housing over a yielding packing element and surrounds at least a portion of the rotating seal ring to define axial plane sealing gaps and an annular circumferential gap. Sealing fluid is pumped to each gap over bores communicating with the radial plane gaps. An electromagnet is connected to the housing and attracts or repels magnetic material in a radially extending portion of the non-rotating seal ring for regulating the width of each radial plane gap. Electromagnet is connected over a control unit to a sensor for sensing each gap, to maintain a selected gap width for each gap by regulating the activation of the electromagnet. The non-rotating seal ring is also slidable within a smooth sleeve connected to the housing.

    • A seal system for sealing a seal gap in a turbomachine includes: a rotor component; a stator component, the sealing gap extending between the rotor component and the stator component; first seal strips and second seal strips each projecting into the seal gap and forming at least one seal strip package; first seal strip grooves in the rotor component that receive the first seal strips; second seal strip grooves in the stator component that receive the second seal strips; and a relief groove in the rotor component arranged in front of the seal strip package, and after the seal strip package. Every relief groove is at least two times wider than, and at most six times wider than, the first and second seal strip grooves and at least two times deeper than, and at most six times deeper than, the first and second seal strip grooves.

    • A pipeline duct through a discharge opening (17) of a vane support housing (1) and an opening (6) in an outer wall (3) of a compressor housing of a gas turbine. The upper part of the pipe (2) is firmly clamped with a flange (14) and seals (7) between the bleeder connection (15) and the outer wall (3) by means of fastening elements (16). The lower part of the pipe (2) is sealed by a piston ring (8). The piston ring (8) is guided by two fastening rings (9, 10), which are mounted in the vane support housing (1) by fastening elements (16). The fastening rings (9, 10) make possible a free movement of the pipe (2) and the housing (3) in relation to the vane support housing (1) in the horizontal direction due to their free spaces (11, 12, 13).
