摘要： An optical disc drive includes: a motor for rotating an optical disc thereon; a photoelectric transducer for converting a light beam, reflected from or transmitted through the disc, into an electric signal; a clock sync signal reader for extracting and outputting a read signal, representing a clock synchronization mark, from the electric signal; a clock generator for generating a clock signal having a variable frequency; a phase locking controller for controlling the clock generator to synchronize the clock signal in phase with the output signal of the clock sync signal reader; and a mechanism for displacing a light beam spot toward a target track on the disc. During a seek operation of displacing the light beam spot toward the target track, the clock generator is controlled to obtain a frequency to be expected on the target track and output a clock signal having the expected frequency.

摘要： It is aimed to provide a manipulator capable of reducing a colliding force exerted to an obstacle even in the case where the manipulator collides without being able to avoid a collision with the obstacle.A manipulator 1 includes an arm unit 3 rotatably provided on a main unit 2. A posture detector 10 executes a control to incline the arm unit 3 obliquely backward with respect to a moving direction P when the main unit 2 of the manipulator 1 is moved. Thus, the arm unit 3 collides with an obstacle 11 in an inclined state, wherefore a colliding force exerted to the obstacle 11 can be distributed.

摘要： The optical disk drive of the present invention can read data from multiple types of optical disks and includes: a motor for spinning a given optical disk; at least one light source for radiating light beams with multiple different wavelengths; at least one lens for converging each light beam onto the disk; a spherical aberration correcting section that can change the spherical aberration states of the beam; and a control section for controlling the operations of the motor, light source, lens and spherical aberration correcting section. The control section includes a disk type recognizing section that irradiates the disk with a light beam using the light source and the lens, thereby recognizing the type of the disk. The recognizing section performs the recognition by reference to first and second signal waveforms that have been generated based on the light beams reflected from the optical disk when the spherical aberration correcting section sets the spherical aberration states of the light beam to first and second states, respectively.
