    • A method of manufacturing rigid frame building elements filled with hard foam plastic, said method comprising the use of prefabricated, rigid, dimensionally stable, hollow skeleton frames, the hollow interior spaces of said skeleton frames are foamed and filled with closed cell hard foam plastic serving as heat insulation, and the elements are subjected in a press to compression pressure which overrules the foaming pressured exerted on the frame of an element from inside. For continuous-action manufacture, the used press is a (known as such on the basis of size presses) continuous-action press machine whose lower frame is equipped with lower conveyor means (4) and upper frame with upper conveyor means (5), said conveyor means confining between themselves a conveying gap, in which the passing elements are maintained subjected to compression pressure by means of pressure members (7) carried by said conveyor means. The conveying gap, defined by said conveyor means and limited on at least one side by a horizontal tangential plane of parallel-disposed, crosswise of the machine extending rolls (5a), is set to be smaller than prefabricated skeleton frames. The prefabricated skeleton frames are fed into the conveying gap which due to the action of elements passing in said gap expands in a manner that each roll (5a) is capable of moving vertically against the force exerted by pressure members (7). Conveying speed is adjusted in view of the length of said conveying gap in a manner that expansion of a filling foam and the pressure generated thereby has substantially ceased by the time an element leaves the conveying gap.

    • Procedure for manufacturing a roof element wherein in the space between two sheets, that is, between a top and a bottom sheet (2,3), lagging material (1) such as polyurethane is foamed. It is only after foaming the lagging (1) that the folds (4,5) required for joining by machine are profiled by roller forming technique on the margins of the top sheet (2). The invention makes for faster and simpler manufacturing of the roof element. In comparison with procedures now in use, the cutting of the top sheet (2) from stock is simplified, the points of escape will be less, implying better quality, the manufacturing takes less time and continuous moulding, which presents the most efficient manufacturing method at the time, becomes applicable in this process in competitive and technologically sound production of these roof elements.

    • Base Building panels, which have been cut from large blocks of expanded, high-density, foamed plastic, include an array of grooves which, together with the non-grooved areas of the panels simulate the desired brick-and-mortar appearance, the grooves having been formed by an appropriate array of heating elements. The panels may be utilized as skirting or underpinning for mobile homes so as to present a permanent foundation appearance for the home. To install the panels, small blocks of expanded, highdensity, foamed plastic are bonded to the back surfaces of the panels so as to provide a panel interlock mechanism. A perimetrical trench is excavated beneath the exterior wall surfaces of the mobile home, whereupon the bottom edge portions of the panels are inserted within the trench, while the upper edge portions are secured to the mobile home undersurface by means of additional small blocks of foamed plastic which have been coated with plastic adhesive. Access panels and ventilation means may be inserted within the skirt enclosure, and the enclosure may be painted a particular color or a multitude of colors according to a particular design.
