摘要： A glass container for storing pharmaceutical formulations may include a glass body formed from a Type IA or Type IB glass composition according to ASTM Standard E438-92(2011). The glass body may include a wall portion with an inner surface and an outer surface, a heel portion and a floor portion, wherein the inner surface of the glass container is formed by the inner surface of the glass body. The glass body may include at least a class A2 base resistance or better according to ISO 695, at least a type HGB2 hydrolytic resistance or better according to ISO 719 and Type 1 chemical durability according to USP . The glass container does not comprise a boron-rich layer on the inner surface of the glass body in as formed condition.

The invention further provides a method of treating a condition chosen from pain, inflammation, fever, and/or patent ductus arteriosis, comprising administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of an aqueous solution a ibuprofen solubilizing agent and ibuprofen, the ibuprofen solubilizing agent being in an effective amount such that the ibuprofen in the solution remains soluble at concentrations from 100 mg/mL to 5 mg/mL without undergoing a phase transition, as well as a method for manufacturing the composition.

摘要： A dispenser actuator assembly (100) for actuating a dispenser (10) is disclosed. The dispenser (10) is in the form of a glass ampoule assembly (10) having a rupturable glass ampoule (12) containing a flowable material (M). The dispenser actuator assembly (100) also has an actuator assembly (104) operably connected to the base member (102) wherein the actuator assembly (104) has a first actuator arm (132a) and a second actuator arm (132b) each pivotally connected to the base member (102). The first actuator arm (132a) and the second actuator arm (132b) extend from the base member (102) in generally opposed relation defining a first position, or neutral position. The first actuator arm (132a) has a first protrusion (150a) depending therefrom and the second actuator arm (132b) has a second protrusion (150b) depending therefrom. The first actuator arm (132a) and the second actuator arm (132b) are pivotable from the first position towards one another to a second position, or actuating position, that is configured such that the first protrusion (150a) engages the outer container (14) and the second protrusion (150b) engages the outer container (14) to crush the glass ampoule (12) wherein the flowable material (M) is configured to be dispensed from the glass ampoule assembly (10).

摘要： A biobased polymer composition for pharmaceutical articles includes a low density polyethylene, in which at least a portion of ethylene is obtained from a renewable source of carbon. The biobased polymer composition exhibits an Emission Factor ranging from −3.5 to 0 kg CO2e/kg of the biobased polymer composition, and is biocompatible for use in pharmaceutical packaging. A pharmaceutical article includes the biobased polymer composition and has a volume ranging from 0.04 ml to 10000 ml. A method for forming a pharmaceutical article includes extruding the biobased polymer composition at a temperature ranging from 100 to 250° C. and at a screw speed ranging from 20 to 100 rpm. A method for producing a biobased polymer composition includes polymerizing ethylene at least partially obtained from a renewable source of carbon to form a low density polyethylene.

The sealing assembly maintains a helium leakage rate of the sealed pharmaceutical container of less than or equal to 1.4×10−6 cm3/s as the sealed pharmaceutical container is cooled to a temperature of less than or equal to −45° C.

Different mechanisms may be tailored to dispensing different kinds of items, for example medications in single dose packages, vials, syringes, or other similarly-shaped items. The dispensers may be placed in a dispensing unit that includes a lockable restock drawer and a dispense drawer into which items are dispensed by the dispensing mechanisms. The various kinds of dispensing mechanisms may be installed in the restock drawer in any workable proportion and arrangement. The dispensing mechanisms include multiple sensing technologies for tracking and inventory of items and for accurate sensing of items as they are dispensed.
