According to a first aspect, the specification describes an injection device comprising: a medicament container; a stopper translatably disposed within the medicament container; a plunger rod, the plunger rod comprising a plunger head; a drive mechanism for displacing the plunger rod into the medicament container; and a force reduction feature, wherein the plunger rod is operable to displace the stopper; and wherein the force reduction feature is arranged to damp at least a part of a plunger rod motion when the plunger rod is driven by the drive mechanism.

摘要： An apparatus includes a housing, an actuator, a lock mechanism, and a medicament container. The lock mechanism selectively engages a portion of the housing such that (1) the lock mechanism is maintained in a substantially fixed position when the housing is in a first orientation and (2) the lock mechanism is removable from the housing when the housing is in a second orientation. The medicament container is moved in a proximal direction when the lock mechanism is removed from the housing to mix a first medicament portion contained within the medicament container with a second medicament portion contained within the medicament container. The actuator can be moved from a first position to a second position when the lock mechanism is removed from the housing to release energy stored within an energy storage member such that the medicament container is moved in a distal direction.

The system also includes a plunger member defining a plunger interior and configured to be manually manipulated to insert a stopper member relative to the syringe body. The plunger member includes a needle retention feature disposed in the plunger interior, an energy-storage member disposed in the plunger interior, and an energy-storage member latching member disposed in the plunger interior. The system further includes a needle hub assembly coupled to the distal needle interface of the syringe body. The needle assembly includes a needle having a needle proximal end feature, a hub, and a needle latching member configured to couple the needle to the hub. The needle is retractable into plunger interior upon manipulation of the plunger member to actuate the energy-storage member latching member.

摘要： An add-on for a self-injector including an adaptor and a bent fluid path is provided. The adaptor includes at least one coupling sized and shaped to couple the adaptor to a fluid reservoir. The bent fluid path is configured at a first end to penetrate tissue and coupled at a second end to the adaptor. The add-on coupled to the fluid reservoir forms an integral self-injector cartridge unit configured to be sterilized and filled with an injectable. The embodiments provide a pre-filled syringe system for controlled depth of injection in a subject, including a pre-filled syringe having a needle tip and a plunger for injecting the contents of the pre-filled syringe; a housing for holding the pre-filled syringe and needle tip in a defined position for a depth of injection; and a needle shield mounted on the housing for releasable movement from a locked injection position to a shield position, wherein after the needle shield is moved into the locked injection position with the needle tip extended out of the needle shield and pre-filled syringe system, the needle can be inserted into the subject at a defined depth of injection. The embodiments further provide methods of injecting a subject using a pre-filled syringe system, including providing a pre-filled syringe system having a housing, a needle shield mounted on the housing, and a pre-filled syringe with a needle tip; moving the needle shield mounted on the housing into a locked injection position to extend the needle lip of the pre-filled syringe and system at a defined length out of the needle shield and prc-filled syringe system; inserting the needle tip of the pre-filled syringe and system into a subject at a defined injection depth, and injecting the contents of the pre-filled syringe and system into the subject.

摘要： An assembly of the present invention for a syringe includes a piercing needle-attached barrel having a barrel body and a hollow piercing needle fixed to the barrel body and a seal cap for sealing a piercing needle tip. The seal cap has a hollow part and a pierceable part into which the piercing needle tip inserted into the hollow part can be pierced. The seal cap is water vapor permeable and placed in a state in which the piercing needle tip has been pierced into the pierceable part. At least the pierceable part of the seal cap is formed of an elastic material containing silicone rubber as a main material thereof, silicone particles, and a lubricant.
