    • PURPOSE: A check valve is provided to enhance sealing property against backflow and easily change an expected fluid pressure, under which a fluid is made to flow. CONSTITUTION: A valve body(11) is composed of an elastic valve body part(12) and an inelastic valve body part(13) and is fixed to a valve shaft(18) passing though a center of the valve body(11) and supported in position to be axially movable. A valve seat(7) is composed of a first valve seat part(14) and a second valve seat part(15). A valve body contact plate(22) capable of contacting the elastic valve body part(12) from the fluid outlet(4) side is supported to the valve shaft(18) to be axially movable. The valve body contact plate(22) comprises an elastic valve body part pressing part(23) for pressing on an outer peripheral part of the elastic valve body part(12) and backflow fluid pressure exerting holes(25) for causing the fluid pressure from the fluid outlet(4) side to be exerted on the elastic valve body part(12). Springs(27) for urging the valve body(11) into contact with the valve seat(7) through the valve body contact plate(22) are interposed between the valve body contact plate(22) and a shaft support part(17) provided on the fluid outlet(4) side.

    • A two-stage check valve for automatic transmission system is provided to secure a flow rate of an automatic transmission fluid to be supplied to a clutch pack. An automatic transmission system includes a hydraulic pump, a torque converter(20), and a two-stage check valve(28). The torque converter is in fluid communication with a clutch pack(24) through a bore(26) in a transmission input shaft(22). The two-stage check valve is formed in the bore of the transmission input shaft. The two-stage check valve is in fluid communication with the clutch pack and the torque converter. The check valve has a first valve unit for performing an opening operation according to first pressure, and a second valve unit for performing an opening operation according to second pressure. The first pressure is less than the second pressure and the second pressure is less than a normal operating pressure range of a transmission.
